I always thought fury was a pretty viable path, as I felt it gave me a bit of a helping hand against the classes that I typically struggled with. A bonus to two handed, power grip, and a bit of a boost to cleaving was really helpful as Gorbak against warriors and battlemages.
I'm not saying fury isn't a viable path. I'm simply saying it's much less viable than the other two. I could go against pretty much any race/class combo with the other two, while fury had lots of trouble against specific classes and/or races (primarily casters and high dex races). You also had the advantage of some nice watcher powers, too.
I really dont think zerk skills need a boost. I think the skill of the players that choose zerks need to go up. put a zerk in the hands of a smart player, and you will see some monstrous zerks. Bazin, and Gorbak are two great exampls of this ( no offense to anyone meant, but some of you 2-3 year players don't have the game knowledge of the 8-10 year players).
Zerks might require more finesse to play than anything except maybe a bmg. Its not all rage slam, though that completely works in some instances. The timing required to properly do a zerk is alot of the trouble. A newer player might not know you need to land a headbutt before you bother haymakering. They may not see the value of a polearm as opposed to always dual wielding. THere are hundreds of little things in zerk pk that make them a vet's class.
Maybe not 100's of things but at least a good 99 ![]()
