Idea how to make/keep more playersbase!

But wait a minute when I can feel comfortable in PK, maybe just I can't feel so comfortable in roleplaying.Do i deserve less then? It's just silly to put obstacles like this.Game is a game after all.PK/RP walk hand by hand.I am trying to say that the PK/RP awards should be available to anyone not only those with GODLY PK/RP.Everybody must have the chance to enjoy this game at it's full potentials.

Do you know what RP means? You know right-Roleplay.It means that every character is playing a role in the mud just like an actor. What the actors recieve my friend?Money fame' date=' glory power. What to the players recieve f0xx?NOTHING.They don't recieve a ****.They just secretly hope that someone will turn their attention to them and give them something[/quote']

Isn't that exactly what I said too? RP/PK should be rewarded. QUALITY should be rewarded. Not quantity.

Your original suggestion was for people to recieve awards based on the time they have spent ingame, which is not right. People should recieve rewards for their deeds.

If you are brave and fight against the odds - you get a reward.

If your RP is outstanding - you get a reward.

You got a long lasting character that has never went OOC (which is RP too!) you get a reward.

You've proved to be a skilled killer - you get a reward.

You have incredible RP and have maintained for a long period of time - you get a reward.

What you should not get is reward based purely on time spent ingame.

Again... you seem to be arguing in favor of lessening time restrictions. This will encourage more casual players - something you seemed to be disregarding.

P.S. And seriously, man... spaces after punctuation, please. They make posts so much more readable.

Excuse me vip one?Casual players?Everyone is welcome, this is a game my friend. Not yours not mine.It is open for everyone!

We don't need casual players mate' date=' we need power gamers playing 10 hours a week.[/quote']

Your words disregarding the worth of casual players, nightmare. Not mine.

After that I said that every player can be power gamer, yes?But to be power gamer you must have motivation. But let's return to the point.

You and I seem to be using very different definitions of the term "power gamer".

lets all just meet in game and RP and kill each other.

Not in that order or anything, but i think we'll get more done that way.

Nightmare - the problem with what you're asking is it requires enough staff to cover the range of the playerbase 24x7 so they can watch every player's efforts to RP their characters. Dude, this is a game - there's no money involved here so, therefore, it is not run like a business. I'm sure for Zhokril and the upper level admins, it's kinda cool to keep a mud running this long and retain a moderate player-base. Other than that and maybe some practice in coding and patience, what rewards do you think THEY get?

Rewards are nice but are they really necessary? I would say that most of the players here build their characters with the point of getting involved in some sort of conflict that eventually leads them to PK. That is the satisfaction we get out of it -- getting to that point where we can engage in PK and it reflects our char's RP. If I reach that point and the player-base is acknowledging my char, what do I need a custom title or some custom armor for?

Don't get me wrong, I kinda like the original ideas if they're tweaked a bit, but your follow-up rant on titles and qrace/qclass is just a little misplaced.

An E or L of a cabal who does not rp AT ALL will very soon cease to be (an E or L / completely). Compare Divine Mandate. This is a rp enforced mud after all

And nightmare, you do not have to be a native speaker to rp your char. You do not have to have tea parties at all. I've actually seen some rp that was not too shabby from the char you play atm Rp = behaving and acting like your character would, play the role of your character. I'm sure with a bit of practice you will get more comfortable with it.

And the immortals already do this! Give them some credit here.

Personally, it is the rewards I recieve for RP that keep me in Aabahran. There are thousands of Muds that ofer PK, and claim they are RP encouraged/enforced. This one stands behind that claim by actually taking the time to reward players for working hard. With restrings, qthings, binded items, personalized warcries and titles, I do not see the original Idea as far fetched. I agree with the foxx though that 70 hrs is a bit low. I can log 70 hrs on a character in a week, because players like me exist, it should be set high, like every 300 hrs. And even then I would place limitations on what kind of items could be binded. For instance inventory items would keep thieves from robbing you, and that would be no fun at all.
