Honestly, why aren't they already available? Elf rangers are. Shoot, a stupid stone giant can make use of the forest and they are big dumb walking rocks.
Drow Rangers
anything is possible in FL, but drow rangers are not the Norm. Apply for it, rp it, and you will have it.
From a balance stand point I see no problem really, although why would someone want a drow ranger is beyong me ![]()
I mean elves have mindflayers, but drow? What do they have? ![]()
Awesome spider friends.

Bloodlust.
I understand the RP behind it, Rangers are creatures of the forest and traditionally (notice the traditionally, not all the time) not evil. You can already have an evil Ranger so the evil argument won't hold....
Maybe because Drow are from the underdark. I dunno, I haven't ever understood the reasoning except for the obvious which is.....
Do any of you really want 120000000000 'LOL Drizzt!' Characters running around if we get an influx of new players at some point?
I believe it is for an RP reason. Drow come from the underdark. There are no forests in the underdark, therefore it is not usual for a drow to be ranger.
That being said, I see no balance issues with one. Actually I would think they are underpowered.
The thing is, we think drow ranger, we think Drizzt. But until he met Montolio he was a warrior/barbarian(D&D equivilant of a zerker). He studied the ranger skills after he arrived on the surface. To me this is why having to apply for one in FL makes complete sense, rp wise. Honestly, I think the immortals would not gimp an applicant for a drow ranger who remained evil very hard. On the flip side, leave the evil path and become a ranger, I think you would be gimped to the point you could not win in most pk situations. Atleast thats been my experience here. This way the staff knows your applying for RP reasons and not looking for a loophole for PK. To any of you thinking a "good" drow would be fun, consider the materials that most decent "good" armors and weapons are made of.

I always thought drizzt to be a warrior, but then again I haven't read the series about him, yet. So, we have some RP justification.

Specialized warrior, then went barbarian, then went ranger.
You can apply for one but they will never be standard due to rp reasons.
How do you guys not realize he was a blademaster.
He was all about finesse every single step of the way, he was not very big- even for a drow. His whole mental game was about predicting his enemy's movements, he actually did SHADOW DANCES (Fighting many opponents in the dark, but yea)
Drizzt = Blm, apped for Ranger. Montolio has approved. Win.
Rangers = Warriors of Wilderness. =/= Warriors of Forests.
Part of the Underdard is a Wilderness, and it's pretty Wild.
Ever saw a Nightmare in a Forest?
So it makes lots of sense.
So it makes lots of sense.
You always make a lot of sense my love <3 ![]()
The underdark is wild Mya but it is not a forest. How a ranger can learn the crafts of a ranger after he is living in industrial city making tunnels?
