Took another death tonight from a person in what I thought was going to be an honorable challenge.
I think someone mentioned this in another thread some time ago but I don't think an Immortal said anything about it. Proposing the idea in it's own thread.
There's virtually no logical argument that could be made against having this. Challenges are fought to the stun, they are meant to sun your opponent, giving him the ability to make a choice to kill you or not.
Putting in a command would help cut this stuff out. Heaven forbid a low lvl thief be around when you get killed in a challenge. Coding would be swift and simple and would cut out a lot of player's heartache.
I know I've done it to people before on my WMs and felt like utter crap, especially if they tried to tell me they felt their condition get worse(lost con) or something.
It would be nice to have.
I think you can do this client side if people really wanted to. If you set up a trigger to disconnect your client on seeing the win message any spammed command should fail to be executed.
That was what you were talking about right? Someone spamming in one two many commands and getting killed?
Yeah, I have setup a prevention method like that on mine, but it would be great to have it hardcoded in the game for people who don't know how, can't, aren't on the forum, or anything else.
I too have the spaming problem and usually kill my opponents even if I don't want to. Too lazy to make triggers though
If you take the merciful perk you avoid spamming opponents to death. Not certain but I believe choosing to grant mercy also prevents it. Not against the Idea of a hard coded solution. Just sharing information.
Weird my search didn't turn up that thread....thanks Erana
It would make a lot of sense, in the old days my warmaster and some of the others used the arena to challenge in as it stopped you being killed.

Boy, you need to get some sense of humour
