STONE 'STONE GIANT

General
STONE GIANT

History:
The stone giants of Aabahran are the least populous of all the giants of the
lands. No tale has definitively told their true origins, however stories
range from having been there since the dawn of creation to theories that
they just emerged from the mountains one day.

Stone giants are a solitary people, rarely found in any large numbers,
though they can be found all throughout the lands. They make their way in a
multitude of professions, however they seem to be called to wander more than
the other giants found in the world. It is not uncommon to find stone giants
trailblazing to all corners of Aabahran in search of new land. The largest
gatherings of stone giants have been sighted at different times throughout
the years on the slopes of Mount Khorand and within the Dragon's Teeth
Mountains. It is theorized that many stone giants make pilgrimages to these
mountains to return to where they were born, share stories, and meet with
others of their kind. Very few have been invited to join a stone giant on
this pilgrimage and it is considered a great honor to be allowed to attend.

Due to their assumed dimwittedness and their strong bodies, they are highly
sought after by slavers, known to be worth great sums of gold. Contrary to
their perceived low intellect however, stone giants have become great
artisans throughout history.

Incredibly stoic and slow to accept change, stone giants have often been
seen as very conservative in their ways. Though they share the same
comparatively short lifespan as the other giants that roam the lands, stone
giants take extremely long in their deliberations. Business dealings with
stone giants have been known to take years to come to agreements.

Appearance:
Stone giants tower above most races of the lands. Compared to the other
giants they could be considered the most average. Often shorter than fire
giants and slightly taller than storm giants. Their bodies are broad and
powerful with frames made to fit their mass. Their skin is exceptionally
thick and normally has natural hues, from earthen browns to stone grays.
Some more exotic stone giants have features that may be colored vibrantly,
like precious gems. Their musculature has the capability to jut out from
their bodies, creating visages that resemble jagged surfaces of mountains.
Some stone giants have been known to grow natural mosses in place of hair,
though many have normal hair upon their heads and their bodies.

Hometown:
Stone giants that have settled in the cities of Aabahran can be found in the
major cities of Val Miran, Maelbrim, and Miruvhor. These cities are all
conveniently located in areas where the mountains where they are born in can
easily access.

Society:
As they are naturally neutral in their ways, stone giants are free to be
very individualistic in their decisions. They are able to seamlessly
integrate into any area that they settle down in and are known to follow the
laws and ways of those lands. Some stone giants still prefer to not settle
and continue wandering their entire lives, and others may never be seen in
society at large.

Religion:
The stone giants have no unifying religious beliefs between them. It is
nearly impossible to trace religious beliefs to stone giants of similar
birth places or blood lines. This is not to say that all stone giants are
pious, as finding atheistic and agnostic stone giants is often easier than
many other races.

Relationships with Other Races:
Most commonly stone giants are found to be agreeable to whatever other races
are found wherever they settle. Some stone giants, however, are very slow
to accept any other races due to their history of being enslaved and taken
advantage of. Stone giants are seen by other races as very reliable
companions.

Physical Adaptations:
Stone giants have taken on more than just the appearance of stone. Their
thick hides resist physical attacks and their natural strength allows them
to hit harder with mundane weaponry, however lower intelligence makes them
vulnerable to mental attacks. Their time spent wandering the earth and
scaling mountains have taught them to wield their natural environment to
their advantage, with the ability to heft and hurl heavy objects in their
surroundings at their enemies. Their natural size makes them adept at using
two handed weapons, bashing and bodyslamming their foes, and enhancing their
damage.

Stone Giants can be the following classes:
Berserker, Ranger, Warrior
