Evangelion
Go see it. Now. Best movie I've seen in a long while.
Tantangel
I wouldn't say it's the best movie. It was pretty good for a book to movie adaptation and they cut out a lot of what they could've added in, but all in all it was a good movie. Both my brothers along with my middle brothers girlfriend said that it wasn't all that great because of the amount of things they cut from the book (two of them never read the books). If you're a fan of the books though and don't have expectations going into it (mind you first two movies were considerably shorter books than the rest of the series thus those movies had more of the book in the movie while cutting out minimal scenes and the other three movies after have cut out lots of the book to make it not so long like this sentence within these bits), you'll find a good family movie that you can enjoy that makes you wonder what happens in the next movie (whether you read the book or not) and also makes the die hard fans of the series just want the last book that much more. corpsestomp
Go see it. Now. Best movie I've seen in a long while. Either we have massively conflicting ideas in what makes a good movie, or your taste sucks. I'm gonna go with B.
Rensvert
I can't believe that their are people who would actually pay money to go see that movie.... *sigh*

Iyorvin
Lmao. Harry Potter. "Are you not like thirty?" "I'm THIRTEEN! OOOooOOOOO" The closest thing I ever came to watching one of those movies was accidentally walking into it when I went to see Aeon Flux. I can't wait for the second transformers, the new godzilla looks good, and I want to go see Live Free or Die Hard.
Dead Voodoo Doll
Is that the new Godzilla? Whatever it was it looked awesome. Big fan of Abrams.
mya
Aeon Flux is HORRIBLE!!! Just a plain waste of time. And i loved Ultraviolet. So that you see its not the genre i hate.
corpsestomp
Re:mya Hmm, if you switched those two comments, I might agree. I've seen all the Harry Potter's, more than once, minus #4, because I hated it from the first 20 minutes in, so I've never seen it all. I think the little kids sucked at acting to begin with, and still do now. The new Dumbledore is a pud. In any case, I'll probably get dragged into seeing it, and will mostly likely complain about it when it's over.
Grishnak
The closest thing I ever came to watching one of those movies was accidentally walking into it when I went to see Aeon Flux. I'd pay money to have someone erase the memory of seeing Aeon Flux from my brain. I tried to drink it away but that just gave me drunken nightmares of the 2 hour torture. On the Harry Potter side of things: This movie was a good book adaptation and a pretty good movie overall. The new director that stepped in a few movies ago has done a very good job with the transition into darker subject matter that books 3-5 pulled off. I used to be a huge HP critic until I sat and read through the books because I work with children and was tired of not knowing wtf they were talking about. It's decent fantasy, especially once you make it past the first two or three books, and a light, fun read. In other words don't knock it til you've tried it. Crucial
Harry potter was good, seen it the opening day at 1201 am. Anyways ultraviolet sucks the special effects were sub-par I remember the glass coming off the side of the building like water, and oil. I liked transformers much more than harry potter, and I think the next die hard looks good. If you disagree with anything I said I know a guy who knows a guy. Kyzarius
Aeon Flux is HORRIBLE!!! Just a plain waste of time. And i loved Ultraviolet. So that you see its not the genre i hate. yeah aeon flux was dissapointing. They really could have done much better...of course I used to watch the animated series on mtv all the time which had some wicked concepts in it. Ultra had that awesome flaming sword fight...hehe, cant beat flaming swords. Transformers was an awesome movie....and currently tops my list. will be taking the kids to see ole'harry this weekend I am sure.
CruelEdict
So...what the hell is it? Everyone in the theater thought it was Godzilla. Of course, I didn't think so, since they didn't have the typical crap and I doubt even Hollywood is dumb enough to follow up the last Godzilla flop. It looks cool so far, though. That second website is neat, with the pictures that you can move. I am assuming they will keep adding to it. Oh, and Transformers was the nuts. Rates in my Top10, which is saying something. That movie is not a new Godzilla. http://imdb.com/title/tt1060277/ http://parasitemovie.com
kahlos
Saw HP OotP last night.. I've read all the books and I'm neither disappointed or that much impressed with the movie. I must say it was almost spot on.. even most of the dialogue was there. "What have you done to Hermione Granger?" "You have the emotional something of a teaspoon" etc. The fight scene at the end was exactly how I imagined it though. The beginning dragged a bit but what do you expect.. I'm thinking they should've done the full 3 1/2 hours but that might make it very boring. Overall good movie.. I'd rate it a 7 out of 10. Still haven't freaking seen freaking Transformers! ARGH! Ps.. its so funny at the cinemas coz you have a lot of people there who have no interest whatsoever with HP and they come there to bag the movie.. and then you hear guys whistling at Hermione and other guys screaming "SHUT UP!" at the other people. LOL. HP is probably the coolest geeky series.
Iyorvin
But lets all agree. Transformers is a MUST but Blu-Ray! 62 inch HD TV and could watch it 100 times. I hope they make like 10 of the friggin movies, cause that **** never gets old.

Bl3h
Lol, that was awesome. I reckon the funniest bit was near the beginning when he picked up the chick in the car, and when she got out and started walking away, Bumblebee started playing "Baby come back!". Haha. corpsestomp
Wow...I saw HP tonight with the fam, and I thought it was awful. Normally, I care very little for the little differences in book/movie, because things have to change. BUT, this movie was so obviously different from the book, it was maddening.
kahlos
Huh? I thought the differences were quite minimal.. I only picked up 1 error and that was that Cho was the whistleblower instead of her friend. There were a lot of scenes not in the movie though but thats a diff thing altogether. Give me 5 things in the movie that contradicts the book and I'll agree with ya.. I've only read it twice anyways.
