you play text based games, asshats, all of you. It is a bit complicated, but once you learn the basics, it is so sweet, there is one cave, 99 levels deep, each time you go up or down, it is randomly generated. So it is never stale :)

t to talk to target(move the cursor around if you have more than one person around you)

That should get you quite a ways into the game.

Never hit a karmic anything in melee if you can help it. Also some hints:

Trolls need ASSLOADS of food. Stock up. the f1-f7 keys change your combat settings, you can lose melee offense, for melee defense(great for casters) You can wear TWO shields at once(another big caster thing) Try to raise your skills evenly.

Once you complete the carpentry or evil sage quest, you'll be sent to a cave system on the west side of the world. Eventually you'll come to a level which contains an arena, and there you can buy all the food you want from chars, NOT shops (so it's unlimited). If you succeed in getting the healer in the cave from the village elder's quest to heal the carpenter, then the food salesman in the first town will lower his prices for you. Capital T also opens tactics settings, then you can use + and - to scroll through them and find a good balance for you.

talk to random people in towns, I recomend passing the first town you see, then going north and west a bit to the cave on the mountain edge, level to seven or eight there (it goes really fast) Then start questing, as you can get involved in stuff you should NOT be involved in hehe.

You closed it improperly. You'll have to delete a data file with the name of whatever character you were last playing. Always quit with S(quit with save) or Q(Quit and delete character) or it'll go wonky the next time you start. If you can't figure out which it is, start the game from a DOS window; the flash that you see is telling you which data file is interfering. Opening in DOS will make it stay up so you can see what is interfering
