Get voting, should be easy to get up there while the mud is down. I also what to say that I leave for vacation in exactly 2 weeks, so once we hit top10, you must maintain it.

Good Luck,

I did this same thing last year and we hit top10.

And I don't think we have as many players as we did last year. Everything in the top 10 has several hundred votes, with the higher ones having thousands. A fraction of their members voting will still outpace every FL player voting.

You are doing nothing to help the voting Pali. I like you, you usually are constructive, but all you are doing now is telling everyone not to waste their time voting because we have no chance to hit top10. You want to be a realist, fine, but not everyone wants their bubble burst. At anyrate, if people would just try and not just forgo the hope, I would probably be inclined to donate something anyway.

Yeah, almost 100% positive Pali is right in that aspect. Unless you have multiple IPs you can use, which even if you have dial up and just turned off your computer and then logged back onto the net when it rebooted I never ever saw a boost in the # of votes when trying to vote that way in the past. If someone works somewhere where there's tons of Computers and their workplace allows them to browse the forum from time to time, you might be able to bump up the vote. Problem with Jester's way of voting is the fact that it is 15 minutes apart. Sorry to say, but you voting every 15 minutes on the same computer might not increase it at all, and if you do see increases, what's to say that someone else hadn't voted?

I tried that a few times in the past too' date=' still never did work for me when voting.[/quote']

odd, i know they don't filter by Mac adress, because that would have to occur on a layer 2 device such as a switch or a multi-layer switch acting as a router, Your mac address is stored on your network card, but im pretty sure if they filtered like that it would deny all traffic for the user all together.

I haven't had any problems with changing ip addresses, perhaps yours is static? Alot of people who use a cable/dsl are given their ip address by their isp, unless you pay specifically for a dynamic one.

When I was using that method it was back when I had dial-up, which supposedly renews the IP every time you log on, though from my experience it was usually the same one, possibly changing every other day, but that was at best. Could just be service in city I'm in, but not sure. Never really cared as it never really mattered to me.
