Anyone have an old Starcraft CD-Key?

Hi.

I know this sounds sketch, but I'm looking for an old Starcraft Cd-Key that isn't being used. I'm disorganised, and mine's been lost to the ages, likely taking up space in the scenic St. John's landfill somewhere.

I do actually own the game, and if Blizzard would have printed the damn key ON THE CD, I'd be playing it now on b.net. I used to play with my friends back in the day, and it was classic gaming at it's finest. Obviously, I played Protoss, as you can probably tell from my mad-on for Drow. I like all those classy, refined types, and the Protoss were certainly that.

Seeing all the new screenshots and videos of Starcraft 2 has gotten me feeling nostalgic, and I want to play on B.net a bit.

I promise I won't share it, and I'll probably only use it for like a week before the luster fades.

If anyone's doubting me, I'll take a picture of me holding my V 1.0 Starcraft disc while holding today's paper in front of me, Lee Harvy Oswald style. It's worth it just for that, you know.

Anyway, I just feel somewhat annoyed in that I've paid for a product and can't take full advantage of all it's features. If anyone does want to let me have their Cd-Key, I'd suggest a PM or E-Mail.

Thanks.

I had this exact same problem and I ended up buying the game over again...

I don't often go on B.Net, though. So here is my question. If I let you have my CD-KEY, will I be able to occasionally go on B.NET as long as we are both not on at the same time or what? I don't really know how it works.

Also, I tried downloading CD-KEYS online... I installed and reinstalled the game over 20 times trying to find a working key... None work. Don't bother.

EDIT: Have you tried to take this argument up with Blizzard? They'd probably just give you a new CD-KEY. No money loss for them really. *shrug* Just call and if they say no, bitch until you get what you want. ;)

Blizzard's policy is to give you a new CD-Key IF you send in either the case, or the instructions, both are gone. I had so much of that crap, that I just put all my CDs into those giant CD-Binders and threw out almost 50 pounds (well, it looked that heavy) of assorted Video Game boxes, instructions, the original jewel cases....I'd been storing them, and then eventually I just couldn't deal with this huge pile of crap, so I threw it out. Anyway, they won't take the CD, and if I did manage to have either of those things, it's a ten dollar "administration fee" for them to do, plus S&H both ways.

Anyhoo, yeah, we'd not be able to play at the same time, but otherwise it would be fine. I honestly can't really see myself getting heavy into it, so I'll only really be having the casual game. I've been playing the computer alot, but once you learn how to beat it, it's pretty much beaten.

EDIT: Again a reminder don't post it on the forum publicly, because then you'll have people Googleing for Starcraft CD-Key, getting yours, and then you'd have like 231321321312 Koreans using your CD-Key. Note: For anyone who doubts me, Google Korea and Starcraft, it's a national sport over there.

I did. The problem is, if I can do that, so can 343824098230492809 other people. As a result, there are 3249824923804 other people using the key, and only one instance of that key can login to B.Net at a time. I know, because I'm doing it now, and I've managed to get in ONCE. I've taken to drawing up lists of those who use it the most, and making a little chart.

So far, Kaplan is the biggest "winner", being on for most of the past three days.

*grinds teeth*

I hate him so much.
