Done And Done

I am not going to argue with you guys, that is just my opinion. Immortals can watch over you even if you are I in a cabal. It is a just a different feeling actually being in a cabal than in clan.... recently I saw someone from Nexus telling to someone in Despair "Go kill this guy and bring me his EQ if you want to gain my support". That was not even the immortal. I do not know if this is right but somehow I don't feel it is...

I know how vets feel about revealing some of the secrets, I am not saying it is a good thing and that it should be done, but I know that with making cabals easier to accept people in (up to I and M) will make things most interesting.

Just my 2 cents.

Nexus are bent and evil, their personal support can be gained in game (you need them to vote you in somehow) but if they ask you to do something that is complete and utter crap then just note it to the imms.

Yeah, like Aulian said, note it to Imms if it's crap. If they can't kill the person to get their EQ in the first place then why are they in the Cabal to begin with if they can't even help themselves? It would be different if they said if they killed the person that they'd support you, but kill them and loot them so that they could benefit by doing nothing? They don't need the armor if they can't get it themselves anyways and it just shows a sign of weakness, then you can turn around and kill the Cabal'd person and gain more possible worth in your Cabal Imms eyes depending on the Cabal you're going for.

I believe fox is referring to Krondrin about the despair thing, and Krondrin only ever said things like that to see if you where dedicated to obeying the rift, In his eyes he was the rift, and if you listen to him, you are worthy. The reason for him saying bring me the gear is making sure you did it because he said so, not for personal gain.

Foxx, for the record (and I say this from experience), having people just apply for cabals without the clan system is a far steeper learning curve than going through the clans. When you're in a cabal, you can be called out to fight by anyone at any time. You have no choice in the matter. All they need to do is make a show of assaulting your home and you are duty-bound to fight them off. My current character is a class I've never pinned before, so it's taking me a bit to figure out how to use it effectively. Being in a clan gives me enemies to fight and practice against, but they are enemies who can't just attack my cabal to pull me out when I know they'll kick my butt. It gives you time to get used to your combo, it's strengths and weaknesses, and to learn how to maximize the former and minimize the latter. Were I in a cabal with him, I'd have WAY more than the three pdeaths I do now. Hopefully once I get caballed, I'll have figured out the class well enough to not rack up too many pdeaths without getting enough pkills along the way to make myself feel good about it.
