Pali Changes

I have been out for something like 8 months and was wondering what the word was on pali changes, i logged on with my 50 pali i keep around just for kicks and didnt' see anything cept the magic strike one that was here when i was last on. They still in the works or abandon'd all together? sorry i'm sure u all get asked alot about them but i couldnt' find a latest thread about it.

Magic strike is a help against bashing giants.

But you need to master all you prayers.

I was amazed the first time it worked on me, if i had it 100% in my last PK i would have not lost.

But i still think they need Flail as a weapon.

Paladins are completely balanced and have always been. They are survivable as I don't know what and can output some pretty nice offense to boot. The only place they lack is against certain casting/communing classes, and even when battling those they can go into attrition mode and surprise their enemy to death. Just because you don't hit like an ogre warrior doesn't mean you aren't offensively gifted, you just have to be able to use the resources available to you.

And if you want to cure the ogre ranger problem, a decent paladin can do the trick. And even more than a paladin, a storm sader done correctly will make an ogre ranger look like a faerie zerk.

I've killed a necro who had rank advantage and the element of surprise while I was a half-naked half-elf pallie. This was before magic strike was implemented and we were in the upper 30's rankwise.

I think pallies are more than fine for the moment, thanks.

Like i said I never said they weren't fine as is, but upon my last leave we had gotten magic strike a bit back and were waiting more changes that were in the works, i was simply wondering what ever happened to it since i've been gone for like 8 months, alas, it seems to have been derailed after a few short replies, and my question was sort of answered. So this thread might as well be closed.

Paladins pre 50 are extremely dificult to kill.

But wonce you get to 50, all other classes have nifty things and paladins only have Mounted combat.

Sure the charge is nice but they still lack in the offensive department.

For example against a cleric with spell turning a Paladin charges and does little else than trade blows.

That is why i think they need flail, a exelent dual wielding weapon.

And kick. This would make me extremely happy.

Paladins need nothing else. Trust me. I think most of the other posts here have covered why they don't need anything else. Paladins are absolute monsters.

As for clerics, they can be one of the classes Pallies have an uphill fight against, but still not impossible if you're fast, and time your dispel evils right.
