Buy like 3 kegs and keep replenishing it with your own beer and throw a kegger every weekend, you'll definitely come out with enough to probably pay rent every month on top of utilities. If I owned my own place or even rented, I'd probably try that **** out since in the long run you'd probably come out with more money going into making it.

Getting started does not cost much really, you can make homebrew stove top if you want, and pressurize growlers individually. If people are coming over to drink I usually just say throw some change/dollars in the keep me drunk fund, so I only have to buy fuel for the burner every once in a while.
