TheNewGuy
I am with L-A on this one. It pays FAR to much on high levels.
Grishnak
Well - doing quests doesn't put you in an area with a big target on your back, especially during the run to lvl 50. That's a reason even at reduced xp if its not seriously gimped back. I disagree with this statement perhaps more than any other argument, and think that (if there is one) the main reason to have decent exp for these quests is that you ARE more often in high target, high risk areas. Out of 10 quests in the 40s I was sent into cities to kill things 4 or 5 times. These weren't fights that were done in one tick, either. So you're running the risk of a) ninja study thief blackjack and steal/kill or c) Tribunal spotting you. Especially during the run to 50.
Bl3h
I've seen a few of these quests done.. I know of one character for sure that was averaging on about 7 minutes per 7-9k exp quest.. In an hour thats a little over 60K exp an hour.. Thats what - 4 ranks an hour for an ogre in the 40-50 range? Not bad in my eyes..
EyeSeeU
The gain is to high. There should probably be a timer, hard quests should not give you more then 1000exp(at any lvl). I'm thinking like 600-800exp.
Nomak
I think that quests are fine as they are.Hard quests may give 6k at rank 40th but do you know that most of this quests take 20 minutes to complete? Not to mention that most of the quests to slay someone can be completed only with warrior class.Go and hunt kaddars at rank 40th and I am sure that you will get 5 ranks for one hour which is a lot of more than hard quests. There is something more:when you rank you increase your skills like dirt kicking second attack, third atatck and etc...so I think that questing will never replace ranking.Quests are fine as they are. Nomak
hard quests should not give you more then 1000exp(at any lvl). I'm thinking like 600-800exp. This sounds more like a joke to me
Grishnak
This sounds more like a joke to me I actually think 1000 for a MEDIUM and 1500 for a HARD would be about right. That way you definitely aren't ranking close to as fast when solo, but you can at least feel the gain.

H&R
Ranking through doing quests should never be near as rewarding in xp as ranking in a group. I'm with Grishnak.

Mister E
In my experience the quests give too much exp. Not that I dont like it, but on the other hand it feels kinda cheap. At least it helps when there are no groups on but still...The medium quests give about 4500exp and can seriously be done in just a few minutes. Often it is just bringing something somewhere and going somewhere else. I stopped doing hard quests because 6/7 quests was to kill a goodie...Damn alignment You also get a large chunk of gold too. Maybe this little experience/experiment will help FL by allowing some ppl to pinn fast and get into the game, but in my opinion it needs to be toned down to something reasonable. I would say 500exp for an easy. 1k exp for a medium. And 4k for a hard. If you only give 2k or so for a hard people will just do mediums because it is faster with less risk. Gotta have an incentive for that hard quest.

H&R
because you play a magi and you don't have with who to hunt with? Yeah, but if it comes to the point that you decide to rank through quests when there are available companions to group with, something is wrong. Chayesh
The current formula for the quest exp is wrong. We are fixing it. Solo ranking is NEVER supposed to be more beneficial than grouping. This is the main reason behind the exp bonus for grouping up. (Funny...I think I've said this before.) HBwillie
quick fix. 500 - Easy 1000 - Medium 2000 - Hard
EyeSeeU
That isn't a quick fix, for one I did a few hard quests with my current... In all reality I did about three of them in a row in under 10 minutes. Thats why I feel a timer is needed because as much as I love gaining 21k in 10 minutes it is just not fair. I am sure Malch and the staff will fix it in a manner that suits the authenticity of fl, while still being fair.
