Building on condeath bonus

I agree with this idea, upon condeath you should be able to roll a new character with basic skills mastered that you already had.

What this will provide:

-Saved time on training so more time can be spent for new players to learn to pk/explore/RP (MOST IMPORTANTLY)

-No real advantage to vets because the advantages gained dont really affect them

What this does is basically decrease the steep learning curve this game has, a major factor to what turns away new players which in turn will increase player retention = a good thing.

Personally I spend alot of time training and get to 50 only to be disheartened by getting owned, now wheres my incentive to condeath? I'd much rather save those hours by starting a new project and trying my luck again with a different combo. Whereas if this was implimented I'd be much, much more inclined to play this to the end, and for those who say "This will force people to play a character they no longer enjoy." There is nothing being forced upon you here, just perks if you do.

This is not what this idea is about. Rewards should affect only the current character, not the one you roll AFTER you condeath one.

It is very abusable, requires an account system (i.e. more time spent in coding) and is basicly useless. If you don't want to train, don't. You don't have to have everything mastered at 50. It will master itself if you have a long lived character anyway.

Having gone through this Novel...

It seems pretty simple to me. Bonuses close to condeath-go out with a bang.

If you want to "abuse" that. Be my guest. Don't go pissing in the forum when the noobs gank you in force to send your leet butt into the abyss.

The greatest part is, right now deaths are all bad. So much so, that I was running my lowbie around with a guy who died and promptly said "This is unacceptable." and then said in RP speak that he'd be rerolling and would see me later <---- **that is what's going on now. And that is not the FL spirit **- min-maxing knowledge hording leets.

Not to mention I had a good aligned character of some reknown request an item out of my reach and pass it to me.... (yes I handed it back, I've been neck deep in sh*% before) annd I saw a lvl 15ish pally with 2 titanium bracers... But I digress

I think this is a fine idea. No "cabal" type advantages but.. enough of a buff to notice.

If we really want to make the game "noob friendly" and increase the playerbase (maybe I should post this on it's own) but hell man we need to do away with lore and ID and publish some maps, mobs and stats.

It's really easy to be super leet with how steep the learning curve is. I'm fine with a locate/identify/survival mule (AKA a healer). But that's alot to ask a noob to do.

I for one don't think all the mystery adds to the game. The puzzles and quests are cool but I think it eats up 10 metric tons of RP opportunity having to grind all that knowlege out like my boys did and pass around the ever growing loot list.

There I said it.

Heh, continue plus.

Man its like in Major league baseball, everyone can hit a fastball just not everyone can hit a home-run. Some people amaze me to this day at what they do in the RP department, and yet again I am amazed at what some of you can do in the PK department. Then there are a select group of you that can put both of them together, that should be a reward in itself.

P.S. I would accept a final death bonus.

Here is an Idea, how about a forum list. Perhaps in the Hall of fame, Honorable mention for those who stick it out. Thats it, nothing more than recognition among those who truely understand your loss/accomplishment. Just an Idea.
