Not realizing this, I went and slept to regain my health. A world shift came, and I lost all of my rares, because they were in the bag and I didn't realize they weren't still on me. I ended up losing concentration five times in a row, which was enough time for the dk to actually ask how I was that day. I had to excuse myself, leave the room and log out. OWNED! Tantangel Posted August 13, 2007 Report Share Posted August 13, 2007 I didn't know about the where command until almost 2.0, that's not embarassing, that's just lack of information and I still was able to PK, just not as great and I kept wondering why people knew where I was exactly and I didn't them. Repeated that like 8 time before I realised I wasnt messing up hide... It took me a long time to stop trusting evils when they wanted to give me eq...Nesaren collected a few bounties on me like that and I was also killed by a demon dk that way too... My worst FL moment and made me stop playing bards was back when I had a faerie bard trying to get into herald and I walk into CC Rheydin which had another bard, a druid, some miscelaneous chars and Krounoi himself. Well they asked me to play them a song and I just froze. I was totally blank and couldnt come up with anything original. I was so embarassed I logged..didnt play that char again till a few weeks later when I deleted out of sheer embarassment. I'm sure I have more but just cant think of them right now. I was so embarassed I logged..didnt play that char again till a few weeks later when I deleted out of sheer embarassment. I remember something similar with some of my newer characters. This place was the first taste of RP I'd ever had, and I was pretty damn awful at it. The very first character I rolled properly, I sent in an Avatar app (what was I thinking?) and at the time I was playing on 56k modem. I remember talking to Irumeru and he was asking me allsorts of questions and I couldn't answer them because I couldn't RP well at all (I was still using MUD terms like "Hey do you want to group up with me and come kill for levels?" and "Wow, what are the stats on that piece of torso armor"). I didn't reply because I didn't know what to say and my mind sort of froze up, but I didn't want to quit to make it look like I was outright ignoring him. I ended up just not entering any commands to try and make it look like I was AFK. It took so long to void me that after a couple of mins, I just pulled my modem out to make it look like I'd dropped link (yeah, I didn't know I could have just d/ced from the MUD) and left it then logged back in. I remember constantly getting killed by that kickass Feral Cleric Syndi as my Ninja. I kept hiding, and he would come in and bring me from the shadows, all the time me forgetting that Ferals get sense motion. I just kept that hide was incredibly unreliable. With the same ninja, Eshaine gave me Elder when I had about 5 or so kills to my name. Some of the notable Justice & the law clannies and subsequently, Tribunal and militia, mocked the hell out of me all the time mercilessly for being so rubbish, saying that I was a poor Elder and I couldn't even defend myself never mind attempt to look over a Cabal.
