Are there some historical explaination why you spell invoker with "ck"?

Not a native speaker or failed Grade 2. I hope its the former because if its the latter the education system in your country has failed you very, very badly.

www.dictionary.com return no matches for invock, invocke, invocker or florest.

The spellings are:

invoke

invoker

florist

L-A

She isn't from an English speaking country I don't believe. Why everyone gives her **** about not knowing what she's talking about is beyond me, I can usually tell what she's meaning whether or not she spells it right or not. No one is perfect anyways, and I'm not targeting anyone, but I tend to usually ignore spelling errors from people, especially if they're not accustomed to English as a first language.

No one is targetting Mya Tant.. but she was already corrected so she should know now. ;)

I still would rather read thru a post with spelling or grammatical errors rather than a post with no paragraphs!!! Ahem. :P

I know no one was really targeting her, it just annoys me when people poke fun of other peoples lack of an ability to comprehend the English language. I mean hell, with everyone pointing out that at times it makes me wonder how the hell we never know who she plays. And Emp, I know you know how to spell, I had a hard time getting through that. And yeah, a post without paragraphs is one of the worst things ever, especially HUGE blocks of paragraphs that could be seperated into a few smaller ones. My friend did that a lot back in middle school, I hated having to correct crap when doing book reports.

Anyway. I think I'm going to be hanging it up on FL for now. Just too many cut throat players I suppose. Seems like most of my experiences with the mud thus far have no been as enjoyable as I would hope. Please do not take this post as a whine post, or whatever. I've just deleted my thief. More out of frustration than anything I suppose. Not sure if I'll return to play the Invoker or something else. Anyway, thank you to all of you who offered your words of encouragement. I do think there are some good people who offer their advice on these forums. Just wish you could get that same assistance in game.

- Matt.

FL is a very cut throat kind of world, and if you play a thief expect that times 10. Noone likes thieves at all, they are singlehandedly the most dangerous and least trustworthy class in the game. If you want to find allies and have a slightly more peaceful life then try rolling a goodie. But seriously dude, I might have sympathized with you had to complained about your bard getting ganged or something...but c'mon now. You were playing a THIEF!!!!!

I seriously was and am not looking for sympathy. I was just drawn to the class and it looked like something I could enjoy. I do agree that it is a very cut throat world. And the learning curve is very steep for those who are totally new. I'm just thankful I did have alot of my questions answered by some more experienced players. Anyway, not looking for any sympathy - just 48 hours of my life I'll never see again, ha!

Try playing an elf paladin. They are easy to play, require very little training (just defences, the rest you need will go up when hunting), and other good-aligned players will most likely be friendly and helpful, and will absolutely not try to kill you. Nobody trusts a drow. And if anyone did, he would still not trust a thief. Now, when you combine those... Well, it would be the LAST thing I'd recommend to a new player. ;)

Fiquem sabendo que o meu Ingles é um espetaculo.

Se voces não sabem apreciar as minhas abilidades linguisticas, o problema é vosso. :P

By the way, the Paladin thing is sure.

Nothing like a Elf Paladin to get the good side of FL.

Thieves always have a awfull reputation.

I remenber 3+ years ago getting 2 rounded by a Fire Giant just because i was a drow thief, he never meet.

Paladins also have the advantage, of not needing to know the lands well, as you can cast the spells you need.

Concordado. A maioria dos povos não é incomodada aprender línguas diferentes. Nosso português é mais mau do que seu inglês. ;)
