BobcatFan
Got a new laptop. Moved into a new appartment. Free internet here sucks. Dont have zmud. Give bad connection and telnet a shot or wait longer?
kahlos
If you're at 50 and caballed, dont. Otherwise, go for it but don't PK.

TheNewGuy
Roll a new char, get used to telnet, get used to the lags. Then hit it.

Aulian
Yes log on - I need someone to lag enough to feed my malform easily..
Tantangel
I just say log on. I deal with lag almost daily and I've even attempted to PK in it despite my dying, but that's what you get for logging into Cabal wars. Everyone dies, and if you're in a Cabal you can prevent some things from happening if you do die, so it's not like it'll be a complete loss. Celerity
Is dying losing? :D It is a game! Have fun with it anyway you can!
Ex-D&Der
Don't use telnet for god's sake, just download gmud.
Tantangel
Depends on what all happened when you were dying. Assuming it was a good fight, dying wouldn't mean losing since you know it could've gone either way. Now if you're just totally slaughtered, I count that as an extreme loss, and if that's the case I know I'm doing something way wrong that I can't figure out. The class I play currently I KNOW what I'm doing wrong in situations where I begin to lose, but for some reason I keep doing the same stupid thing over and over again. Guest emp_newb
If you are using a MAC, get Atlantis, pretty decent one I found for my laptop. If not, GET MUSHCLIENT!!!!! Mush > gmud anyday. Also, roll up a tanking melee, easiest to play on a laggy connection
Chayesh
You could always use the java telnet client through MudMagic's website. Hella better than regular telnet.
smallman
MMC, the MUD client for UNIX and Win32 Hella better than anything else.* *except sometimes gmud, which is better for its rolling trigger profiles
zionpsyfer
Hit the nail on the head there. If you can play and still have fun, go for it! If dying makes you throw the keyboard and kick the dog....wait. I'd get some sort of program before doing so though. Being able to do straight telnet (especially from windows) requires a special breed. MUSHClient gets my vote. Is dying losing? :D It is a game! Have fun with it anyway you can!
