EyeSeeU
For those of you who do not follow the NFL(American Football) but may have heard of this freakish injury sustained by Kevin Everett TE(tight end) of the Buffalo Bills. Doctors first said before and right after his surgery that Kevin would probably never be able to walk again. However he has now been taken off the respirator and has feeling all throughout his body, Everett can wiggle his toes, bend his hip, move his ankles, elevate and kick his leg, as well as extend his elbows and slightly flex his biceps. However he cannot move his hands after sustaining a life-threatening spinal cord injury. His doctor did say this ... "There are some answers now. And many more questions remain," Gibbons said in an update to reporters. "The patient's made significant improvement. But no one should think the functions in his legs is close to normal. Not even close. ... If you ask me, 'Would he walk again?' I would tell you that I wouldn't bet against it. But he has a long way to go." I pray that he walks again. Raargant
Out of curiosity, are you praying for him because he's an injured human being, or because he's a football player you like? If it's the former, there's a lot more people to pray for, for a lot better reasons... Sorry, just a minor pet peeve of mine
EyeSeeU
I pray for a lot of people, don't get that twisted. However seeing how football is a big part of my life I felt the need to post it. You are right though, a lot of other people could use some prayers... I however as a person try and spread out my prayers evenly to the masses.
Raargant
Hehe, fair enough. Like I said, just a bit of a pet peeve of mine. Don't mind me, I'm just tired and grumpy from pulling a 9AM-11PM shift today (with about 1.5 hours combined break in between, but still...). It's like 13 hours isn't long enough for one day, I hate people sometimes!!! HEHEHah! More power to you though man!!!

Sorry, just a minor pet peeve of mine How about praying for him because he is an injured human being, but only KNOWING about it because he is a football player? I think that this generally sums up the 'why' as to most people praying for freakish injuries with celebrities. Personally, I pray for anyone and everyone I think can use it/needs it. Prayer = good
Tantangel
Hehe' date=' fair enough. Like I said, just a bit of a pet peeve of mine. Don't mind me, I'm just tired and grumpy from pulling a 9AM-11PM shift today (with about 1.5 hours combined break in between, but still...).[/quote'] I once pulled a shift from 6am until 11pm with about 1.5 hour break in between. My lunch was at 9am so I went to eat, and I don't bother with breaks and lunch is an hour long. Then later in the day I was asked to stay to close which I did because I needed the money and I wasn't sleeping for **** anyways, and had a second half hour lunch at around 4 or 5. I actually enjoy those shifts, it can even make my week shorter if I have too many hours at the end of the week. That's the joys of retail and a Store Director who is a tight *** though, but no complaints.

Pali
If you want to do something useful to contribute to his healing, find some place doing medical research on the spinal cord/nervous system and make a donation.
