shamans and trash mobs

sooo.... dealing with trash mobs as a invoker/shaman, especially in time sensitive areas like the forsaken lands need some work. Its near impossible to clear mobs as a invoker/shaman. what my ranger can do in 3 seconds it takes 15 minutes to do with a shaman which is ok in pk but makes questing very hard when you cant use half the map because you cant kill anything before demons start coming, or you cant kill in areas where you cant flee because your class requires you to heal and deal damage over time.

Every class has pros and cons. Comparing a shaman to a ranger is like comparing comparing Chuck Norris to Heidi Klum.

And above all, did you really have to use invokers as an example?

And what the hell does "trash mobs" mean?

these just seem to be the two classes that have alot of problems in pve, but do well in pvp, almost every other class i've played does well in both, except necros which suck untill you get people to help you get zombies then you're set.

I class shamans as one of the classes that is easiest to get EQ with. Yes it takes time, but that is how it is supposed to be. I've also seen necromancers kill the Demonicon and other strong mobs alone.

Actually Invokers have an EASY time with the forsaken lands. When I do not have a group I actually use the forsaken lands to level any invokers I play.

Blind and flee.

Use your Level 50 blind to blind those mobs. If they are blind they cannot attack you. Well most of them.

Soul something also aids. You know the one that give you an extra unblockable attack per round. The power of this attack is based on the power of the Mob. Probably just Level based.

Use Weaken and poison to make them not hit you. Low STR means Low hit roll and better for your defences.

Get a Very high average Exotic Weapon. Mobs know all weapons or none, so your increased profeciencie in exotics pays up.

I used to have a Average 28 non rare exotic on my shaman. It was Great. Expecialy since i did something to it.

Even Dragon Slayer with "Wrath" damage (sharp) is good.

Get some pets. A L30 and the L15 Golem. Faerie fire mobs.

If you don't want to fight something as a shaman you can always blind and move along. There is very little a shaman can't kill it... just takes time and attrition.

Yeah, as stated above. Blind and move along, you got better **** to do than dick around with that pussy *** bull****.

yea i seem to have to problem with bosses, just takes alot of patience, i'll try what was stated above.

QUEST

syntax: quest

Forsaken Lands offers an advanced dynamic quest system. More then

seventy (70) various quests await you as you grow in rank of your guild

and explore the land. The particular order of quests offered to you may

change due to your class, race, align or pure chance with the end result

being an experience that is never exactly the same.

The questor screen will summarize the quests you have been assigned as

well as the tasks you have completed. There are two types of basic quests:

permanent and temporary (denoted by a on "questor" screen). While a

permanent quest stays with you for duration of the character's life, the

temporary quests are short tasks often needed to complete a larger quests

and are reset with each world shift or when you leave the lands.

Almost all the quests offer rewards. Most often this reward is in the shape

of experience and gold or items. Many others will also grant bonus train

points or practices and other various beneficial things.

Word of caution: While many quests are meant to be completed in groups,

you should NEVER give solutions to the quests to anyone. Part of the fun

and excitement is to solve the quests, and the Immortals harshly punish

anyone who defies this rule.

Incredible, someone saying that shamans are underpowered.

I was just thinking of rolling one last night. Why, because I think they are sick.

Shaman is one of the few classes I could easily kill the black dragon in the arena with.

If we wanted all classes to easily do well in pve and pvp we wouldn't have different classes. This is not WoW, this is Forsakenlands.

Experiment and ask other players in game for information. There is no cheatbook to this game as it is a constantly adapting environment.

i wouldnt really call them underpowered i think i just need to get used to how they operate in pve. pvp its pretty straight forward for the most part.

I always just obtained regular gear with my shaman, and the rare/unique stuff by killing people.
