Deykari
Well, whilst it's not the nicest thing in the world... it happens. Whilst it would be nice if a player did recognise if you're AFK when it happens, it's not their fault that you were away from your PC, nor is it yours - enter, bad luck. One of the things I have always promoted (talking generally here) is that whether you think it's trash or not trash, if someone is acting within the rules of the game then they don't deserve to be called out just because it ****ed you off. It's nice to have class, but just because someone wants to play a game how they want to play (again, perfectly within the rules of the game) doesn't mean they should be penalised because they have a different outlook on thngs. In terms of PK, some people get their thrills from fair challenge and fair PK. Some get their enjoyment out of doing what they can to stay on top of things in a dog-eat-dog world. I have my own rules, and will always be fair to someone who I haven't interacted with, or who has been fair with me, but I have no hard feelings towards anyone who plays as how other people see as 'trash', simply because people who choose to play that way should expect people to play that way against them, and that's what gives things it's balance IMO. And just for the record, I aren't writing this because I have been killed & looted/killed & not looted, or killed someone & looted/killed someone & not looted. Haven't played in a week or so now. Just felt the need to reply to that. Dey
sarcon
Very simple. If my char does not like you--expect full loot! If my char is in a cabal and your the enemy--expect full loot! If my char needs nice shinny's that you have--expect full loot! If you just got raped and are kinda a newb--Will take a few rares to teach U! If I am a blademaster-- expect half loot half sac'd (cant carry much anyways) If you killed me--Better full loot me because now I'm PISSED! Simple, easy and affective. The Wayward Knight
If your character liked them, why would he try to kill them to begin with? All you are saying is that you basically always full loot unless they're noobs, which you have no real way of telling anyway as fast as a blademaster can kill people. EyeSeeU
I dont really ever full loot or even half loot, I strategically take perhaps 1-6 items of importance to the class I just defeated and sac them or hold them if I can.

Yes, fights can be fast with a blademaster, but you always have a feeling if the one your fighting is a vet or a newb by the things they do/dont do. On another note, I do loot a lot of times just so people get pissed and learn what not to do. Then, next thing you know later on down the road that same person probably will start kicking some A**.
Hegemon
The full loot is lame, and I will tell you why. The game is a big enough time sink as it is. Beyond the rare/non-rare...problems..(which I believe/know is next on the list), there is the supply issue. The cabal warfare issue. The Tribunal issue. The "I just don't like this @$$#$@$ issue. There are more than enough reasons, and it keeps growing the longer and the more jaded this generation becomes. Hubris aside, when I kill, I leave it all, save any rares I need (again, due to the rare/non-rare issue). Conversely, I get killed, I don't go back. Rarely to never is there a point to. Johnny Badass isn't going to RP with me, save perhaps tells. He's damn sure not going to stick around because, hey, I may have tipped someone off to the fact he's weakened from beating me down. (I don't) Address the rare/non-rare issue. We've had some of the same "stock" weapons (which factor so much into the game it makes my head hurt, for so long, it is due an update) that we have a large gulf. And if you'd like me to post on the prayer forum, just ask. I've prepared my detailed lists.
Pali
Personally, I think that if the eq problems were worked out, it would take care of most of the full looting complaints simply by the fact that it'll be easier to equip yourself decently anyways. goldbond
when finding a minor globe, a bear's tooth and spiked garde armor in the same session is a real highlight, then it does seem like the flow of items is significantly tight. personally i think it's the general scarcity of even these low level rares that makes it more glaring. Hegemon
Credit where credit is due. Though I've thought about this for awhile, it is my esteemed collegue L-A who's informed comments have provoked this post. Always was one of my favourites, though he hates me like party mix without pretzels. L-A, repost your Obi-Wan=Ganger post. Please.
Grappler
If they attack me 65 times while I am trying to rank...they get the full loot.

My character is half........... half dressed. I am going to get a Combat Lantern, I get slept, spelled up, raped.... and looted. I have to start over. Another character, not yet pinn.. I am just North of the dragon Road, getting silver bracers, tarps, looking for teeth and I get owned,, again half dressed! I tried to RP why... because you are a threat... I said I wasn't even as I am below rank and looking for TARPS!! He said " now you are less of a threat". So I have to start over again. The main problem is, even when i am fully equipped, it is like i am wearing a diaper and holding a stick vs. the folks who plate and a big axe for my stick. So, again I think it's not having a fighting chance even when i am equipped that is frustrating. Full Looting = Less time fighting more time equipping. Taking rares to teach a lesson, really? Newbs have ONE nice thing and you are going to take it (because in order to fight the godly you need it). I thought that once you are decked, you want to fight..... so Why loot, then you can't fight again.... Anyway, I shelved those two good characters, its not worth it to trudge them out to get raped, then start looking for onyx rings and before I can get dressed I get pounced again.. Christ, I cant even get a glimmer because I cant get dressed.
bokluci
Most of the time, I loot only what I need, but if the person has expressed hostility and or threatened me, they will get full looted since I am sure they will do the same to me. Pali
Big Papa, if you are seriously having that much trouble finding and holding on to eq, then I suggest you play something a bit more survivable until you learn how to not die so much. Also, give the following a read: http://www.forsakenlands.org/forum/showthread.php?t=5337 http://www.forsakenlands.org/forum/showthread.php?t=284 http://www.forsakenlands.org/forum/showthread.php?t=
BigPapa
I am now playing a very survivable class, and learning where everything is, and escaping on every attempt of my life. The thing is, my heart is into Melee's. And the trouble is, I cannot even start to re equip without someone coming after me, and as a half dressed melee without good consumables, what do you do? Look at what Kyzarius just posted.
