f0xx
How can one leave a clan? Sorry for the newbie question
Tantangel
Imms are the only one who can remove you from a clan, just switching clans is frowned upon because you shouldn't be trying to get into two different Cabals just because it suits you better. f0xx
I recently saw a certain crusader who was in a certain clan, and a minute after that he wasn't, so I thought it is possible. Thanks for the fast reply
Tantangel
Yeah, I know which one you're talking about and which clan it was. You tend to suffer more now though if you try to jump from clan to clan because then you have to prove yourself more than a normal character that you're willing to put the effort forth. J.Twendrist
Immortals or Leaders of the clan can remove people.
Aulian
although such would create alot of implications I would imagine.
CruelEdict
Why should it be frowned upon? Not every decision made in your life is one you wish to continue with. Would a more dynamic character make a switch if they felt it suited them? I mean, it shouldn't be a problem because it isn't really cheating or anything. If it is RPed, I think it should be just fine. That's why the physical restrictions are in place. Additionally, while anything that is well RP'd can be acceptable, choosing a clan/cabal is (when correctly RP'd) supposed to be an act or desire of utter devotion on the part of a character. This is a group that is built on ideas you would die for and kill to protect. Allowing rampant clan hopping would be in direct conflict with the prevailing RP of joining in the first place, and thus, the restrictions are in place. Can it happen? Of course. It is looked upon lightly? No.
TheNewGuy
If a clan change is RPed well, it will be fine. But it's not something you do just like that.
CruelEdict
That is hilarious! I know I wouldn't hop unless it was RPed, but that someone would do it just to get a kill. Laughable. As long as it isn't black and white with the staff, though, I am sure it would always be handled rather well in those few cases where it is RP-oriented. Ahh..but that's just it. Warmongrel
yeah, think about a ninja that has no desire to join a clan, or a thief. He could easily just pay the 30k and go in and assassinate or bj the person sitting inside if clan hopping was something we could do on our own. Chromatic
Then he'd be outcast, wouldn't he? Oh. And make another Cjuk.
mya
Ok someone please explain me, what is wrong in an Assassin paying 30K gold to become member of a association he has no interest in, other to gain access to his target. This looks to me like the expected actions of an Assassin. Someone who kills people in cold blood and that has little to no morals. Nor should clan halls be use to prevent PK. Just look at the Academy Rules. It clearly states that you should not use the Academy to hide from PK. I personally, when wish to leave a clan, I join the academy. Things change, and just because you liked a certain clan at the start of your life, it does not means than you cannot end up hating it, or loving another more. A characters RP is not set in stone, it should flow with events.
Tantangel
The same assassin could just sit outside the clan halls waiting for the person to leave it as well rather than paying 30k every time he wants to kill someone. A way to stop people from quitting out from within their clan you could easily make the rooms noquit so it doesn't make it PK immunity just because someone quits out all the time within their clan whenever it's attacked by their PK. f0xx
I believe mya was talking about joining certain clan to gain information, not when someone is hiding in the clan halls... And yes, I kinda aagree with her.

In short, you would be dead. 3) We don't live in a perfect world. 4) An IMP has said don't do it - let it go. L-A
