Celerity
Saves don't scale to reduce the damage from hellstream. You either make the save or you don't. This isn't exactly true...
Calron
Raargant already said that it is.
Ex-D&Der
Raargant already said that it is. He just makes this stuff up.
Calron
Are you talking about me or Raargant? I assume me, since the other way around would make even less sense. Raargant said it, plus I have many other reasons for thinking it is true. http://www.forsakenlands.org/forum/showthread.php?t=9832&page=6&highlight=hellstream Post 57. Ex-D&Der
I was talking about Raargant. But I was kidding. N.b. you can link to a specific post by copying the link to the number.
Celerity
If you are talking about this: two sanced hellstreams=1 unsanced hellstream it can...but it doesn't always (or even usually?) work out that way..I think raar was just making a quick estimate an ogre with -60aff and -0aff will take different damage, even if they both save..there isn't just a simple save = 1/2 damage going on
Tantangel
Yeah, you can make a save to a varying degree, that's why you don't see a consistent amount of damage being given off to people who make the save. As an Unsanc'd Ogre with -60 aff saves, you may save and get hit for <<< or >>> damage and then the next round it's saved against again for maybe an ***OBLITERATES*** but then suddenly it jumps to UNSPEAKABLES. Celerity
Very easy to try with almost any race/class...give it a shot in game and find out
mya
You know very well that damage from spells is random, as is from weapons. No way to test this. Unless you use a certain spell in a certain circumstance as certain class. But that would only prove the way that particular spell saved.
