If you are talking about this:

two sanced hellstreams=1 unsanced hellstream

it can...but it doesn't always (or even usually?) work out that way..I think raar was just making a quick estimate

an ogre with -60aff and -0aff will take different damage, even if they both save..there isn't just a simple save = 1/2 damage going on

Yeah, you can make a save to a varying degree, that's why you don't see a consistent amount of damage being given off to people who make the save. As an Unsanc'd Ogre with -60 aff saves, you may save and get hit for <<< or >>> damage and then the next round it's saved against again for maybe an ***OBLITERATES*** but then suddenly it jumps to UNSPEAKABLES.

Actually Viri back in the day said it was for many spells. ;)

You know very well that damage from spells is random, as is from weapons. :D

No way to test this. ;)

Unless you use a certain spell in a certain circumstance as certain class. :P

But that would only prove the way that particular spell saved. :cool:
