Hehe Balls are not friendly on the keyboards. I worked on those arm rolls while waiting for my 3 hours late flight in the waiting room of the San Diego airport. Work on some skills and not doing any tricks that cause mass panic when I drop. :o

Wow Dizz. I like it. I travel to alot of festivals, and faires here in the States, on the west coast particularly, and I LOVE watching contact jugglers. You make it look easyish :) keep up the good work... I think next year I am going to make a point to stop at contact juggling camp at burning man!

Lately, not much. I pick up a ball a couple times a week for about 10 minutes each, if that. When I started I was at an hour a day for a few months. Today, I brought it to the pool with me and rolled for a half hour on body rolls. The ball I used floats. :)

Does it take long to get the basics right? I might consider giving it a try. :)

If this summer turns out as last summer, then I'll find some dead time at my summer job, so I could use something to do then. And that something can't be FL, because I have to be able to let go and get back to work at once if something turns up.

How important is the quality of the ball? And are there any "noob-friendly" balls?

I started with a tennis ball if that tells you anything. The important thing is that the ball should be smooth and uniform in weight. A well worn baseball or even an orange is good for starters. Here is a guide for sizes.

Start out finding as many ways to hold (stall) a ball on both your hands as you can. Then find stall points on your arms (elbow pit is good). Then start rolling from stall point to stall point until it feels natural. I like holding the ball ice cream cone style and switching hands.

Then visit www.contactjuggling.org for more ideas, vids and forum. It's my other 'home' forum.
