Heh, prob.

Knicky: typically it doesnt bother me, but you'd be surprised how much I got it. I think Tribe high positions are one of the most difficult to play. You're expected to be perfect by everyone else for the most part, and you get more grief than anyone else. I've experienced it with all my justices and tribes, hopefully this time around I'll have a little more ability to ignore without ignoring. That's another thing that sucks, if they're not a criminal, can't ignore them. And only about 50% of the trash talk i got was from criminals so sometimes people would have fun doing it and just keep talking trash until I hadn't responded for 30 mins :P

Warmongrel:

Isn't there a law about disrespecting a Trib, as a representative of the Empire? If so, can't you want them for talking trash? And then when they run - isn't that obstruction? If those are felonies, aren't two felonies worthy of execution?

Have fun... :D

all of Martineius's laws are still in the tomes Wayward Knight. If Council ever gets back up and running his laws wont have gone to waste. They are a great example of what types of laws future councilors can make to aid the tribunal or the cities themselves. I think Council needs to be upped a bit, allowed to make more laws per rank than the current 1. 1 law per rank per councilor is just not enough without like 4 councilors.

Why?! its more then enough?

A law = absolute power. Something EVERY SINGLE player has to take heed of if they dont want to be WANTED.

I mean you can do anything with writing a law.

Example:

"All bladed weapons are deemed too dangerous to the common populace to be worn in town. These include; daggers, swords, axes, edged weapons, dancing blades, battlemages scythes, and polearms. If they are found sheathed or hidden upon your person you can be warranted and an arrest enforced."

Example 2:

"Any motion of warlike intent within a city can result in the issuing of a warrant. This includes the shouting of warcry's, entering into a beserked state, being dressed in a warlike manner, presenting arms, casting protective spells used in battle such as protective shield, sanction, fire shield, (ect). Also discussing fields of battle, past battles, battle plans, current wars, alliance negotiations or any other form of discussion will result in the issuing of a warrant."

Example 3:

"Tribunal supports only three major and annonymous temples. They are a multi-deity supporting empire and thus the use of warcry's, divine interventions, blesses, malforms, or any other link toward an identifiable deity is strictly in defiance of Tribunal's multi-deity standing. As such these transgressions will result in a warrant being issued and enforced by the Tribunals.

With a little bit of imagination (and the balls to actually enforce them) the tribunals have ABSOLUTE power over the three city states.

Anything is within their scope - I mean if they can make drinking from the fountains illegal, why not anything else ;)

I think its JUST fine JUST THE WAY IT IS.

Seriously!? Hell yeah, I am going to roll a coincilor and make a law that, since you usually play watchers, that all of your chars are outlawed and a reward of 10,000 gold will be given each time you are killed/executed.

Grow up man, all of the laws must have limits and be approved by Prax. Stop shooting peoples ideas and just COMMENT ON THEM.

My suggestion to fix this would be simple, one law per councilor per lifetime, HOWEVER, it would be permanently added to the list of martins laws. WHICH would only be enforceable so long as a councilor exists. Basically they would revive the "Lost" laws of their former brothers. That way every time a councilor comes to pass, it will affect the mud.

That would be such a waste of a law. Lol. He's already an Outlaw, hes a Watcher. Duh!

Do you really think Prax is going to shoot down good enforcable laws an Empire wants to pass? He's just going to make sure they aren't too hard to enforce or too ridiculous. IE: All humans, half-elves, and faeries are now outlaws, they suck.

Or all of the laws that were given as examples.

Now I think that some odd laws could be passed, but nothing that would ruin the gameplay of others. Which all of those laws would.

The worste thing I could see getting passed is no warring cabals inside of the city, if no councilor is about to outlaw. But the above would not be too nasty.

No way. I would like an official statement from Prax.

I have had this law in mind for a looonngggg time. If any of you bastards steal it and use it I will be pissed.

"Humans are superior to the rest of the populace in the Empire. Other races lack inherent manners and knowledge to live in a civilized place. The Empire will no longer cradle these inferior beings. Thus, all non-humans must pay a fee of 10,000 gold to the Tribune watching over the city upon entrance. They must also pay a fine of 5,000 gold after being reminded to sheath. All offenders will be considered hostile to the Empire and executed."

I think that would be one bada$$ law!

I was going to make a councilor ninja who passed a law that any citizen suspected of the planning or executing of any actions, or interacting with any individuals, considered detrimental to the well being of the empire may be called upon to make declaration of their fealty. Failure to do so upon request will serve as evidence of sedition, and is a felony punishable by death.

The councilor could then employ citizens as a 'secret police', and any accusations would serve as ample justification to call upon a citizen to declare their fealty. And that declaration could go so far as to require the citizen to kneel and kiss the ring of the Tribunal (as a representative of the empire), or to 'donate' a certain sum as evidence of their loyalty.

Then all tribunals would have to be human as long as that Council's alive. So everyone would probably try to kill you outside the city. Everyone = militia members who aren't human and your normal enemies

Militia members attacking a Council of Tribunal? Lol, can you say exiled?

Yup, but every exile becomes a permanent problem for the Tribunal.

It amuses me because peope forget that once you exile someone they will attack you every chance they get. :D Eventually there iwll be too many enemies for any Tribunal to manage and they will get themselves killed. Repeatedly. :D
