'hmmm. That is a very good question. I'm going to say that they both relate to each. My question more has to do with do you think the internet that comes into your house should be regulated? I'm not good at describing this. Ummm. Should anyone have the right to limit what you can and can't view on the internet, for any reason, and if so, who? Does that answer your question at all?

Well then, I'd have to say that the Internet's in freedom in almost every regard is of paramount importance to me. If anyone ever tried to tell me that something was too obscene for the internet (lol 4chan), or tried to make me pay for "guaranteed delivery of webpages" or "premium access speeds", there would be a lot of violence in my general vicinity.

I will elaborate when I can type with a hypothetically healed left hand.

I believe that internet should be regulated based on a parents individual needs for their kids. I don't believe the government should be allowed to regulate what we see as adults though, as we should have a right to view whatever we please. I do believe that the government should keep tabs on what sites we visit though just in case you have various people trying to act on information you can get online. The parents though should have the major deciding factor of what can/can't be viewed on their own computer, kids shouldn't be able to just view anything they want unless the parents want it that way.

Regulating the internet via "for the children" is the exact same pathway to regulation for everyone else involved with a technology or anything else. Simple law enforcement for acts against children that's already being done is enough, in my opinion. The main benefit of the internet on a society is the spread of ideas (which stimulates innovation), information (which keeps a society more free and democratic), and business transactions freely and on conditional anonymity !! This is similar to the Wild West of a technology that when unregulated generate the greatest engine for growth.

Issues of morality and law enforcement should be watched carefully in regards to this, and all attempts to force every user of the Internet to submit identification to a central government database or anything along these lines should be fought at all costs in order to maintain this technology with the greatest amount of freedom in accordance with the Constitution and freedom of association and without undue search and seizure within the rule of law.

Good point. I suppose if people do NOT succumb to our regulations, we could just take over their country and do away with their WMDs. (Websites of Mass Destruction)

The funny thing is you laugh but the rest of the world is thinking:

"****! You know they will probably do just that..."
