Tantangel
Me and a bunch of AOL freinds trolled over here' date=' about 16 of us... god were the IMM's busy in thosse days...[/quote'] You bastards got me newbie banned. I had to bug Sirant for days to allow my newbies through. I had like 90 characters at the time too, I just had a rolling addiction. And yeah, friends introduced me to it, then the one who did quit playing, went to Sweden for a year for school and never played again. Then two of my other friends who played stopped playing and then played again. I think they're still on and off, but not sure anymore.
Ginig
I remember the damn aol banning times. I would only be able to play off telnet at my school (which eventually isn't so bad). but now i'm used to retyping things, instead of just clicking enter. Good I got better at fast typing (PK reasons) Bad During school not many people on iI got into the mudd from my cuzin and his cuzin (Clariana also brought me in (if you remember how old that one was)) and at first i was reluctant, then i started RPing a Bard... OH MY GOD did i find it fun!
Acerbity
Believe it or not.. TMS. I typed in some search string, and Forsaken Lands showed up. Lucky for me.
Tom
Started off when my cousin got me into a MUSH, TinyTim in the mid 90s, when telnet was the internet as far as I was concerned, got email on there, etc. Then started mudding, but I can't remember the name of the place, quit eventually. Bored at school much later, I went to mud connect, found this place.
H&R
A friend told me about muds, then I began searching on mudconnect.com. Found a couple of not-so-good muds first, then I entered the forsaken lands. Thank god!
Sirax
Just by chance I spotted Topmudsites many years ago, not knowing what a mud was. Started playing Eternal City when it was free, then found there was muds where you could kill other peoples characters , somewhere along the line I found FL. Only time I played another mud was when I got banned (in my early ignorant days) but found none offer what FL does.
Pali
none offer what FL does. Sarcasm and bad advice on the forum, lots of death in game. I'd rather be nowhere else.
Maventiem
I was just scanning the web a few years back when I stumbled on a site called http://www.mpogd.com/. It was there I found FL for the first time, I downloaded the client and entered the game and played for an hour or two. Boy Kid Wonder wandered in as I was playing and he liked what he saw; we were hooked.

WarriorCleric
I was most certainly the trained stooge. I think it was four forums ago that I was given the title 'Pali's trained stooge' WC
wolfeman
I seem to recall that for a time, Valek was your stooge as well. Anyway, a friend of mine introduced me to muds via a Star Wars themed one. I played on it for a while (apparently I was pretty good, since I always found myself near the top of the ladder for either empire or republic, of course, I got killed a lot too, and this was a mud where getting killed meant you made a new character), until it shut down. I seem to recall that Viri once said that he made the first two letters of the name 'a' so that it would show up higher on the listings. Apparently, it worked, because I found FL on mudconnector, which uses alphabetical listings.
grannym4n
Crypticant wanted the double A for that exact reason. When searched it's always at the top of the list.
I-Brake-4-Minotaurs
I've actually heard different stories. When the whole mud slinging (pun not intended) thing came about Crypt accused Viri of wanted the double AA and vice versa.

Pali
I'll be your stooge  Show you're worthy first. Then I'll consider it. I should warn you, I'm more demanding with stooge applications than Chayesh is with vamp apps.

We played AR then switched over to FL in Beta. Been playing since Beta. Took a small six month break this last year, but came back for sure.
