'tarako
'Sooo. I havent been able to sleep in two days. Its one in the morning here, the first night of no sleep was due to idk what, the second was due to pulling an all nighter. So. I am currently not tired at all, ive had my contacts in the entire time, and I cant get to sleep. I'm currently working on a lab report then im either going to lie in bed or play stupid games like bloon tower 2 or some Halloween madness if thats on. I would like suggestions from anyone on ways that would help me get to sleep and stay there as i read the list of side effects from sleep deprivation, and its not nice. My hold on reality is already to weak to suffer hallucinations and stuff on top of it...

Tantangel
If you have the story Tale of Two Cities handy I'd suggest reading some of that.
L-A
If you have the story Tale of Two Cities handy I'd suggest reading some of that. Harsh Personally, I'd go with sleeping tablets. You're doctor can perscribe some. L-A
Montahg
There are some very useful, and simple, techniques you can use. I would research these a little bit, to find more useful tricks, but I use some of them a lot. Often I'll try and slow down my breathing, to mimic that of sleep. Slower, deeper breaths, relaxing your muscles, clearing your head of any worries or concerns...things like that. Also, certain foods can help as well as any number of different things...lighting in your room (even prior to trying to sleep), etc. Go do some research, especially on any medical sites. Good luck, and you're right, sleep deprivation is extremely unhealthy.

Zrothum
What does having your contacts in have to do with anything? I've worn contacts for 10 years or so now, the two week disposable kind...and I take them out like once every four months or something like that. L-A Yeah, well that book made me exhausted within the first paragraph. Wish I still had it sometimes because I could use it often. I'd probably be almost finished with it if I only read it on nights I was having trouble sleeping.
elfdude
I used to have alot of issues with sleeping as well. I find that once you become more active you can't help but feel tired at the end of the day. Try eating better and getting to the gym three or four times a week, I guarantee you you wont have to do anything else.
