killalou
Meh ganged, who cares this is a game after all. It's not like it was hard to find a pumpkin suit and weapon (which would be cool if they were in the game, heh). On a side not, in the real game if you rank your character from 1 to 50 without practicing any skills do you get them at 80% when you are 50?

CruelEdict
Indeed. This year wasn't much fun, but I never much cared for it anyhow. It is a novelty that is fun for about a half hour. After I die to those who logged on first and had the chance to get their good eq, I just quit. The only real fun is yelling "A HAILSTORM OF ORANGE DRINK" over and over again. The kiddies have always needed supervision.

goldbond
i <3 halloween madness. there should be two ports to FL, one always running madness just so people can unwind. i spend a lot of time cracking up over peoples' lame names. BUT it would have been better this year had there been a consistent CTF thing going. i mean there was only one game the whole time.
Chayesh
It would save the IMMs a headache or two just NOT HAVING IT. Geez...there's no pleasing some of you people. Seriously. If we didn't have it, I'd be reading a bunch of bitch posts about how we never do anything for you guys. I'll be at Pokerstars.net if anyone needs me. Tantangel
It's not so much as there's no pleasing people it's the fact that you have a split community. Much like the world, everyone has their own opinion and as such I think you'd find it probably about a 50/50 split on who likes Madness and who doesn't. So while you please the few by doing one thing you displease the other few by doing the exact thing you did to please the others. It's basically a Lose-Lose situation in which you can't live with or without it. To be honest I personally could live without it as well as every other player here, the only difference would be IMO is fewer people would really care. For the few moments you get in gratification from Halloween Madness you get a LOT more by playing the actual game. Not only that but I hear more bitching about Halloween Madness running so long on AIM than I do on the forum and the only place I EVER hear about people wanting it is on the forum and never really on AIM. This is only the second Madness I've managed to catch wind on, the other one being in 2004 and to be honest I found this one more entertaining but overall just for about a few minutes more than the last one. Which places it at about 10 minutes of total fun and was hoping to train and pinn my latest character since returning to work I have about an hour maybe to play before passing out and waking up to prepare for work. For people who are sitting around all the time in the game Madness is of little consequence, but to people who actually have lives outside of FL like about the majority of us, we can only play so often and do so much. Everyone still appreciates the time and effort put into it though, don't get anyone wrong. Just being higher up in the tier, you realize how thankless some things can be because you'll have people who enjoy you and others who don't. Malchaeius
Well then, that will save me the effort of putting it on next year. Thanks for the heads up folks.
BigPapa
There was a new player on yesterday. (The guy holding at level 5 for more than 2 seconds). It was interesting trying to explain that this isn't FL 364 days and he happen to try it out during Halloween Madness!! Hopefully he comes back again... lol, can you imagine sitting in Rhyedin CC and seeing the Madness... HA! Anyway, I thought it was fun, and thanks for putting in the effort and time to do it. Know that no matter if people liked it or not, everyone appreciates the effort, and I really respect it.
Sirax
Well Im another one who enjoyed it, played it last year and enjoyed it much the same as this year, ok there were a few simpletons roaming around killing in groups but it really isnt that big a deal, its madness after all. I hope we have another next year but I could understand the Imms not bothering, all you have to do is read some of the moans and groans posted, and the subject is concerning Halloween madness a day of from the norm where people can relax not take things serious, learn new tricks and tips without the risk of dying. I myself have been here ages but still used it to try and up my fleeing skills which of late have been somewhat sloppy. Dont think it helped to much though but fun was had. Thanks Malc, Chayesh and Anume and all the other imms you have my appreciation.
Pali
Heh, I can just imagine being a new player on Madness... come to the Mud expecting limited PK and enforced RP and be greeted by names like Asskiller and twenty people doing nothing but killing each other. Celerity
Maybe next year, it can be opened on the test port instead of main... I also encountered a newbie today asking if the Halloween thing was going on still...everything we do has a direct impact on whether or not new players will stay... Ex-D&Der
I love it, and would be sorry to see it go. Complaining about it is silly. Are you that hooked that you can't put aside your morts for 24 hours? Jebus. I think it's also more fun for those of us who aren't playing all that actively. You're on a level playing field for a little while.
