Aulian
There are a lot I know, but I saw this one today and I thought it was brilliant enough to start a thread about: "Video games don't affect kids. If Pacman had affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music" -Nintendo CEO- I'm pretty sure anyone who hits the rave seen will get a giggle from that So post your own fav's, should be hundreds..... Oh. And vote.
Pali
"Vlad was right. There are no choices. Nothing but a straight line. The illusion comes afterwards, when you ask "Why me?" and "What if?" When you look back, see the branches, like a pruned bonsai tree, or a forked lightning. If you had done something differently, it wouldn't be you, it would be someone else looking back, asking a different set of questions." - Max Payne, Max Payne 2 "I'm no writer, but if I were I think I'd want to poke my head up once in a while and take a look around. It's life, Jake, and you can miss it if you don't open your eyes." -Benjamin Sisko, "The Visitor", DS9 "Acting is a profound education in human nature and that is why I became so obsessed; but as my intellect improved, my morals failed and I became the very thing I most despised." "And what was that?" "Human. I was not a king, not a hero, not a god. Just a man trapped in the passion of the play." - From one of the Star Wars short story collections, I think Tales of the New Republic.

The Forsaken
"This year, or this month, or, more likely, this very day, we have failed to practice ourselves the kind of behavior we expect from other people." "The claim to equality, outside the strictly political field, is made only by those who feel themselves to be in some way inferior." "'Safe?' said Mr. Beaver...'Who said anything about safe? 'Course he isn't safe. but he's good. He's the King, I tell you.'" (Chronicles of Narnia) "[The natural life] knows that if the spiritual life gets hold of it, all its self-centredness and self-will are going to be killed and it is ready to fight tooth and nail to avoid that." Talcian
I'm no martyr. I did it for the money. But it's not worth much if you can't face yourself in the mirror. Respect is the ultimate currency. I was stealing from a man who traded his away for a few dollars. And then he tried to wash away his guilt. Drown it in a lifetime of good deeds and a sea of respectability. It almost worked, too. But inevitably, the further you run from your sins, the more exhausted you are when they catch up to you. And they do. Certain. It will not fail. (Dalton Russell, Inside Man)
Valsgarde
"The claim to equality, outside the strictly political field, is made only by those who feel themselves to be in some way inferior." That's way good. "After coming in contact with a religious man I always feel I must wash my hands." "All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth." "Arrogance on the part of the meritorious is even more offensive to us than the arrogance of those without merit: for merit itself is offensive. " "Two great European narcotics, alcohol and Christianity." "In Christianity neither morality nor religion come into contact with reality at any point." "You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist." "Those who cannot understand how to put their thoughts on ice should not enter into the heat of debate." Oh Fred. You wise old German man, you. <3.

Chayesh
"Fairy tales don't teach children that monsters exist. Children already know that monsters exist. Fairy tales teach children that monsters can be killed.", G. K. Chesterton Love that quote. "Educate your children to self-control, to the habit of holding passion and prejudice and evil tendencies subject to an upright and reasoning will, and you have done much to abolish misery from their future and crimes from society." - Benjamin Franklin "We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other. " - John Adams How true, Mr. President. And one more from one of the great ones: "A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word 'darkness' on the walls of his cell. " - C.S Lewis P.S. Nieztsche was a complete moron.
