Hey everybody. Just a quick line to let ya'll know I'm still alive and around. I've been busier than hell for the last few months and it won't slow down until next May/June when I finally get back to the real world and out of the desert. Just wanted ya'll to know I still think about this place and you guys and will be back when I get home and have the time to commit again.

Everyone be safe, have a happy holiday season and you'll be seeing me again soon enough.

'haha. nice. what is your job in The Wastelands?

We started doing convoy route security, which was a pretty cush job. That route has very, very little insurgent activity on it. Cross your fingers that it continues that way. We got pulled off that to do a little road construction with the Seabees a coule of weeks ago, we're site security and ORF which completely sucks b/c you either site at the site 12 hours a day waiting for something to happen, or sit in your Humvee 12 hours a day waiting for something to happen. Luckily and thankfully everything has been quiet and hopefully will stay that way until I come home, actually will stay that way until all of us come home.

Thanks for the Vet's Day wishes ya'll. I'll be seeing ya'll soon I hope.

LOL, it's not the camel spiders I'm worried about. It's the damn camels that dart into the road while I'm driving the Humvee. I've got a great picture of one trying it's damnedest to get run over, it was taken by the TC in the truck behind me.

Clarksville Va, little hole in the wall town 45 minutes east of Danville, right on the shores of Kerr Lake.

Ya'll be smart

I can see it now...

Newsreporter: Reporting live from Iraq. I'm here in front of a Terrorist-Camel-Training Camp, or TCTC for short. We've just learned that the Terrorists have been training camels to dart infront of American vehicles to slow their advancement through the cities. They are being dubbed by the marines, with their crude humor, as "Camel toe bombs."
