WagesofSin
A quickie: Are imms able to hear what groups are talking about?
Aulian
Put it this way, if an Imm wants to know, there is NOTHING they cant find out Edit: so in other words; says, replys, gt, cc, cb, emote, pmotes, smotes, notes, votes and all the rest can be seen/read by an immortal if they choose. Valsgarde
Any command you put in, they are able to see. Even if you type: sy Care for a hunt? The actual text won't go through, because the say command was spelled incorrectly; but they will still see that you typed "sy Care for a hunt?" Kyzarius
Immortals have several tools.. One is called Wiz Net.. They can tune into different things, see logins and logouts, see kills, see deaths, see mob deaths, and a whole myriad display of things. I believe they can see all tells or group tells if they wish (this wasnt a wiznet option on the mud I RP immed for but FL is a little more advanced than that mud ever was). These things just scroll by like the sun rising and setting does for you when you play. They can also snoop you, in which case they see everything you do. The immortals here use these tools a LOT. You are almost always being watched, especially if you are in a clan, most definatly if you are in a cabal and damned near all the time if you are a qclass in a cabal heh. Not to mntion if you are an applicant. The best conclusion is to just asssume everything you do is constantly monitored. Not 100% sure about invalid commands, I believe he Mud only sees successful ones...though I am sure there is a way to log invalid command attempts. WagesofSin
Ah, so it makes sense to "tell" yourself if you want to express your thinking? I thought they wouldn't even see it.
Kyzarius
Ah' date=' so it makes sense to "tell" yourself if you want to express your thinking? I thought they wouldn't even see it.[/quote'] On Lorfaine I spoke to Anume quite often by just talking in says to no-one...sometimes I got an answer, and sometimes I got a smirk when I did something truly dastardly. Of course it is "normal" for a priest to speak outloud to their dieties. I also did the same with Anithraril while playing Stytnlye...though he was a butt..smited me for not capitalizing his name..haha. Some imm will engage you others wont, if you go about just talking all the time you will get labeled crazy heh, and it wont neccesarily boost your standing with any of them to be honest...and once or twice it has gotten me into some volatile moments, the immortals of FL icly are not always friendly if you catch my drift. mya
Most muds have the capacity to Log everything they receive. FL is no different. But probably most would just log your player commands. Or just stalk you... listening to all you do and say.
corpsestomp
I know they can tell if you do where, skill, spell, or other things. I remember when Anithraril was fixing a skill/spell list of one of my characters, he told me to stop entering commands. In my defense, where'ing every 15 seconds is ingrained. Evangelion
They can see everything you do, regardless of whether it's an accepted command or not. Big brother's watching you. So stop doing that.
Questioner
Hence my constant input of where/aff/who. I can just imagine the boredom that must have arisen from snooping me.
myrek
In my defense' date=' where'ing every 15 seconds is ingrained.[/quote'] Ingrained? Hell, I've got zMud doing it for me. I find myself tapping my "affects button" when I waiting in other games.
Aulian
Lol yeah I cant help doing the whole where/who/af/who pk thing all the time either... Usually about every 10 seconds I'll put through a where and a who then about 5 seconds later an aff, then it repeats with the odd who pk thrown in. Msn chat ** Goru : Hey man how are ya Aulian : say hey man not so bad  I do this all the time on IMs... it's annoying and makes you look like a jackass, especially to someone who doesn't play FL or mudding in general... Pali
That's why I use ' instead of say. Even if I use it in IM, people just ignore it.
