Roykagh
Anyone else watch this? Absolutely gutted. TKO in the tenth round, Hatton out of it. Hatton's first defeat in his career, his stats now at 44 bouts, 43 victories, 1 loss. I had been looking forward to this fight for a long time, and after the first rounds where Hatton's constant pressure brought Mayweather to lose his balance I honestly thought he could do it. Mayweather really proved though that he can fight though in the later rounds, not just box. Some sick combos came Hattons way, and I'm surprised he managed to keep up as long as he did. He's just out of his depth in Welterweight. Looks like no Englishman is going to reign as P4P best fighter in the world for some time then. Roykagh
Well whilst my heart said Hatton would win, I knew deep down it was very unlikely because Mayweather is the better boxer. But you gotta admit, the first couple of rounds were looking good for Hatton.

tassinvegeta
I'm kinda glad Mayweather won. Many don't like his attitude but I feel he's making the sport more exciting than it has been in a long time.
Roykagh
I think a lot of his attitude is for the cameras anyway. Whether it is or it isn't, it certaintly sells tickets when people hear him saying that he is the greatest fighter that ever lived, above the likes of Muhammed Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard/Robinson. That's not why I wanted him to lose though. I wanted him to lose because I am a Hatton fanatic. *cue cries of 'typical Englishman'* It will be interesting to see him fight De La Hoya next year. And I really wish Mayweather wasn't taking his 'long vacation'/retiring, because I really think Cotto or Williams have what it takes to knock him from his throne. English lad
Also a Hitman fan - but I have to say I saw this coming, as positive as I tried to be. He's never been comfortable stepping up weight, and you could see him get tired and sluggish as the fight went on. Although if the Ref would have aloud in a little bit on the inside he would have had more of a chance, I think that was a little overprotected.
