I think warriors should get doublesheath as a skill, not just for a mastery. It would make sense in keeping with the idea that they are masters of weaponry, yet can only use get the use of doublesheath with swords. I suggest giving them doublesheath and replacing the sword mastery with a different skill all together. Such as "Twin blades" : Allows the warrior to wield swords of any weight in either hands and gives a bonus to either dual parry or defense. Or something like that.
Warriors

Or maybe it could allow the warrior to make bad posts on the forum and be very horrid at PK? HAHAHA. Totally kiddin.

or perhaps give every theif in the area a way of distracting others from the failboat he arrived on ![]()

kidding, before you assassinate me.
on the topic, a very good idea. but do warriors need a buffing? i only played one.. but even so, they seemed like an all-around strong class already.
I actually thought that was a pretty good idea, I say wield any sword in any hand you want, say a nodisarm weapon that is very light in the good hand and a heavy one in the off hand, something you could not normally do. Doublesheath is not valuable enough to be a mastery.
You guys are just douche bags.
Doublesheath is not valuable enough to be a mastery
erm.. lol disagree... alot
Doublesheath is not valuable enough to be a mastery.
I think you're wrong. It removes the fear of being disarmed (even while blinded) AND make it so you can change weapons on command (I think even when blinded). That's pretty huge considering a disarmed warrior is a dead warrior.
Now, all the power players will be crying out 'you can use eq to do that' - which is true. However, with this skill if you're not eq or want to use a non-cursed weapon you're not at the normal disadvantage.
Cheers,

Ehhh, just look at Lamah, he was doublesheath and he was owning. My own warrior, Muarahn, was also doublesheath and I must say the versatility you have with doublesheath is godly.
Forget disarming, doublesheath is not there to help you when you are disarmed(you should be fighting with nodisarm weapons anyway). For one, and I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, when you get disarmed those sheathed weapons do not go into your hand. I think it was a change Malch added so that people couldnt use doublesheath on that rare staff that can be used to heal you.
It gives you maximum versatility. You can use a "safe" weapon at the beginning of a fight, see how things are going, then at the right moment switch to most offensive weapons to get that final burst of high damage. I killed many opponents this way that thought my damage output was tolerable, then at the key moment, BAM they're dead.
Whether warriors should get it as default, however, is up for debate. I would like to see them with doublesheath as standard, 'cause warriors are really unforgiving to play as anyway.
Doublesheath also would allow warriors another two rare slots to store different weapons in, which for a warrior (any melee) is in itself a huge boost.

I would like to see them get it automatically, since other stupid classes get it. Though I do agree it might be a little much.
However we COULD fix shieldbash shield expertise. Combine them? Then make sheildbash automatic? I've suggested this many times. Hell, I will even offer to code it.
I agree that shield expertise, looking at it as someone who has never tried it, does seem a bit weak compared to the other warrior lores. Would need to play it to actually say anything solid about it though... the extra percentage points may be surprisingly effective, for instance.
Except as a Warrior you have very few times you would or should ever use a shield.
Having said that, Shield expertise > shield bash. Shield bash = sucks. ![]()

I could see, for instance, a halfling warrior with shield expertise being incredibly defensive and capable of beating on other melees quite well because of it. Sure, it loses its utility in some situations, but you're not always going to be using the weapon you have mastery in no matter which it is anyways.
If shield expertise were changed to benefit smaller races with high dex then I would agree.
But currently it would be a bad move.
And actually, with my whip warriors, they did use it in almost every situation. Doing very well. ![]()
I think weapon lock is a bit too powerful to be honest.
shrugs Weapon lock's useful, but I'd hardly call it a fight-winner on its own. It's easily broken by an opponent who is paying attention.
I found it very easy to put it back up before they were able to successfully flee. I was also pretty good about bashing them so they couldn't. ![]()
Mephizex would simply recall the second I put it on. Otherwise die the following round maybe two. I thought it was a bit much.
Weapon lock was also the reason I was able to capture Dumela. ![]()
shrugs Fought numerous weaponlock warriors myself, never had too much trouble with it once I learned to keep an eye on it.

I agree. I used shield bash and it felt like such a wasted selection. The effects you get, coupled with what it costs you, make it relatively useless.
I normaly only get a round under the effect of weaponlock.
Less if not spamming.
More if distracted.

Ditto. It's actually pretty easy to avoid if you're not stacking/spamming commands.

LMAO about this entire thread. So much advice for warriors? Yet none on the poll..... Hmm... What does that tell all of you? Tells me you should put up or shut up. Not one of the warrior lores sucks. They can all be useful if practiced with, stop taking your proverbial balls and going home!
