Mudder
Man, brings back some memories of newbdome. ...This is a whole different game these days. In a 50 vs. 50 fight you will never see "You have become better at parry." Remember the days when training wasn't required and when everyone made stupid mistakes? Mudder
Yeah but things were harsher then. Every death meant a full loot. Then they would kill you over and over, until you logged off. Cabal powers were WAYYY overpowered. Basically, if you weren't in a cabal you were likely going to die. Again and again. So the learning curve was still incredible.
Aulian
Yeah, I'd have to say that pk might have been less ruthless in the effectiveness of every character... but when you died it was bad. 'Mercy' wasnt a term many people considered at any time.

Mudder
autofit any one? Ooh, I forgot about that. Let's have that back! Knights... Kinda get almost not really. Let's do that sort of thing for about 4 EQ slots in diff parts of Cabal. Would be fun.

Warmongrel
I don't train anymore except for shield block and parry, and dodge if applicable and I usually dont get the first two to 100, I figure I'm gonna be fighting so much that it wont take long to master the rest i need. And you master a good bit ranking if you are always the tank.
Aulian
Yeah I'm with WM on this. Unless its a qclass/qrace attempt training is the pits besides for the bare minimums.
Mudder
Yeah, druids do require less training.

Mali
Well the game is made for the players to die. If you are dead, you won't be needing all the gadgets, potions, armor, and money.

One Way Up
Oh yes. I remember having a conversation with Daemopshine about what was cooler. Me cleaving people in half, or him slamlocking and dishing out sick damage. This was around rank 30, though, so DK's and FG Zerks were around the top of the food chain. Pali
DKs and FG zerks seem the top of the food chain at 30... until that level 32 necro comes along.
Mali
So... cleave doesn't cut in half anymore? I swear I saw someone get nabbed by a cleave the other day.
