TheNewGuy
The other day, e^x was walking in the plane, when suddely he met a constant, that came running along the x-axis. "Run, run, a derivation operator is coming!" the constant yelled. "Bah, I'm not afriad", e^x answered calmly. "Nobody can derive me! I'm e^x!". "I will be nullified!" the constant moaned. But e^x continued his stroll in the plane, and so he met the derivation operator. "Ain't you afraid of me?" it asked, sounding surprised. "I'm e^x, I will always be the same, no matter how many times I am derived!" e^x answered in a mocking tone. "Oh, yeah?" the operator answered. "Well, just so you know, I am d/dy!" a-guitarist
WC used to use one as a pick up line I believe.... I may misquote it, but, "Hey, I'd like to be your derivative. Why? So I could lay tangent to your curves." a-g
Questioner
And here I thought I would be safe from the duldrum of derivatives and integrals. Some mud this turned out to be.
