HBwillie
My computer is infested with spyware or a virus or something...every time I log on to windows, my computer shuts itself down. I dunno how to play and this computer is so junky I can't get anything done in FL. Is there a remedy to this without paying an arm and a leg? Dead Voodoo Doll
That was a very popular virus about two years ago. I use McAfee. As for spam and adware, there a tons to use. Spybot, AdAware, etc.

Dead Voodoo Doll
Dark colored screen when you boot up. Will have writing on it, it will also tell you to press F2 for safe mode, though it goes by pretty fast.
mya
Pressing F8 after PC checks Disks and before windows starts also can bring menu for this. Just spam it. This happens to me a lot every time i connect a PC to web before upgrading XP to service pack 2. SP2 has a correction for that exploit. Basicaly, you cannot update a XP online, you should download the Service Pack (SP) 2 and install it before going online or the web will take over and infect you. Quigt
You should try downloading Ad-Aware SE and Spybot Search and Destroy, like what Spiegel has. They're pretty reliable programs in my experience.

'tarako
'or use a different operating system that's stable. like mac. or one that there aren't any viruses for. linux. or use a library computer. then if you download viruses they have to deal with it.
