Guns in UK?

Police in the UK do not carry guns...I'd like to think that the UK has one of the best gun control policys going as we work on the theory if nobody has a gun, nobody needs one.

We do however have armed response units. Those are placed strategically in unmarked vehicles around most major cities. Basically you could be a policeman and walk past an armed response unit and not recognise it as they vans are totally non-descript. Guns are kept in sealed safes, and any officer that takes one out enters in their code to open the safe, which signs out the gun to that officer.

So in answer to the OP, no beat coppers don't have guns, but there is access to armed units if needed very quickly.

So basically make it rain 7.62 hell on the English cops, all they are gonna do is contract brain cancer from the cell phone that is their best defense...then find your way into the underground which will remind you of a real subway station, except the bums are twice as annoying with their damn limey word cadence.

*I do not hate British people...but they do seem a touch high and mighty for having gotten beaten by a wee baby of a country...then realizing they can't actually fight and making other countries just pay for independence. Well done not so Great Britian*

The above hate speech stems directly from drinking Newcastle beer until I puked tonight.

If you puked on Newbie Brown, clearly you can't handle your booze and as such has no comment worth listening to. (for those of you lacking the background - where I come from in the UK, Newcastle Brown is the drink of choice for 14 year olds who can't afford/get served anything else. It is drunk in "large" amounts ("large" in quotation marks as when your 14, 2 bottles is a large amount)

well...at my weigh in a couple days ago I was at 124.5 lbs. I drank 11 bottles and took a couple body shots from the ladies (not that you get any meaningful amount of alcohol from those anyway), I'm a lightweight, literally and figuratively.

Bud Select is my drink of choice, as well. But I live in such a hick-podunk little town that everyone has stopped carrying it. I have to drive 20+ miles to find any, so as of late....and on the rare occassion that I wish to knock a "beer" or two back, it's Bud Light. I'm not proud of it, I was thirsty.

Kilkenny is my beer of choice... MMMMM smooth..

Kilkenny is an Irish cream ale which originated in Kilkenny, Ireland. It's very similar to Smithwick's Draught; however, it has a nitrogenated cream head similar to Guinness and has a stronger taste.

I hate beer' date=' and I personally cant stomach it...[/quote']

That's all right. Someday you'll go through a change, all boys do at some point. Not only will you start to act more manly, you'll look it with hair on your face and chest. ;)

But in all seriousness, I could barely stomach beer for a long time. (Still can't really stomach a lot of it.) As it turns out, it's an allergy. So now I have to watch what kind I drink, and it's usually through experimentation I find one I can. So, I've found Bud Light and Select don't make me throw up and get the trots after one or two, so I stick with that.

It blows my mind that a cop would actually go out and work without a gun of some sort. Oh wait guns are illegal in the uk that means theres no guns there right??

And I feel bad for anyone that has to drink cheap beer and live outside of the confines of wisconsin, so much cheap good beer. Oh yea whoever drinks BL needs to get a grip because all bud products are absolutely horrible.

I enjoy Guinness, but if Kilkenny tastes the way my brain wants Aulian's description to taste, then I will try it, even though I do not like you Aulian...somewhat kidding. Also, I don't think regular police in Japan carry guns either, could Celerity clarify for me? It's been about a year since I was there last.

Guiness was my first *legal* beer. And after that, it was my last Guiness. Too many beers are too thick for me, and Guiness being a sandwich in a glass is the obvious front runner in the "No good for Greg" list.

This St. Patty's day, I will probably have an Irish Red with my Dad. Killians, it's okay, but there is some strange after taste, I swear to god.

I hate Irish music, I hate their beer, but hey, at least I like some of their food.

Seemingly unrelated comment, I've always wanted to learn japanese and move to japan. they get everything first. fun fact, did you know only 8 original xboxes sold in the entire country of japan last week?

i personally feel that there's something wrong with a person who lives in america, but can't enjoy the taste of a cheap beer, even natty lite, which happens to be a great beer to take to the beach with you. the warmer it gets, the better it tastes.
