Mattamue Posted March 12, 2008 Report Share Posted March 12, 2008 There is so much stuff to do. So ****ing much. There's like 15 unlockable characters. There's the normal brawl stuff with like 25 levels now. You can create your own levels. There's events where you do specific stuff. There's a homerun thing where you hit a punching bag. There's a story mode (can be two people, but not online) that's taken me about 15hrs of intense nonstop play to get 40% of the way through. There's stickers that are art from all the other games and manuals and who the hell knows where else that you collect while you're playing and then you put thm onto the character's trophies to change their stats. With 30ish characters there's so much time to spend everywhere. There's the online stuff. You can normal melee with all the special options available, there's a co-op mode for online that's two people vs a lot of guys and different modes for that, the homerun mode is online too. I am totally overwhelmed by the amount of stuff this game offers you. Sidenote, got the classic controller and a points card for xmas, so I've been using that to play Smash. I recommend you don't buy a classic controller for smash. The controller is similar to a snes controller, but the yx-ba buttons on the right are too close to the right side of the controller. It could also be that my hands are a lot bigger than the last time I used a snes controller. Anyway, lots of thumb stiffness from the cramped controller. The wii-nunchuck combo works fine to control the character. You don't point at anything and can assign a shake motion to anything. Your index finger gets really tired this way. Just the wiimote on its side is pretty basic. You get the feeling the d-pad wasn't ever meant to be smash-brothered, though. Haven't tried it with a gcube controller yet. The only thing that annoyed me is that you have to unlock old characters that everyone knows. It's retarded, but the new characters are awesome. Btw, if you get it, no one can say they're good with Pit, because you can't not be good with him. Pit owns all, which is why I don't like him Too easy to be good.
