BigPapa
Normally, the charmed creatures "pets" are the alignment of the owners. Is this so with a Gigantic Crab? Isn't the Crab neutral? If this is correct, why can DK's charm it? and does it stay Neutral? It gives the DK a huge boots if fighting goods to have a pet that is neutral not evil.....???? goldbond
the mob is charmed, not owned. it's not a pet. a pet is a mob either created or called upon by the player, and stays with them until death or otherwise lost or left behind. these mobs take the alignment of their player-owner. DKs' charmies do not. that's why they attack them when charm runs out of time.
Pali
I'm pretty sure that a DK's charmy DOES take the align of the DK... namely, evil. It's been a while since I've been able to test this, however, and it may have been changed. I recall long ago seeing the White King charmed by a DK and lighting up under detect evil. Mudder
Yes. Pali is correct. DK's charmies turn evil while they are charmed. If that were not the case, every DK in the MUD would be charming saplings and have goodies kill it, just to piss them off. Lol.

Elf invokers were particulary good targets for this. L-A
