English lad
Has anybody rolled one of these lately - I had one at 50 from ages back that autodeleted, and thought i'd try my hand at one. From what I remember I never used to have a problem rolling up a 56 for one, but a few hundred thousand rolls later - recreating after 20,000, I can't seem to get higher than a 54. If 54 is the consensus now then i'll happily stick with it, but i'd prefer to get that extra 20 hps if I can.
Grim_Reefer
54 sounds solid.
Kyzarius
54 is very solid, you can have your stats maxed by lvl 15 with that roll. Dont forget with an elf you learn to 75% in one prac. You will have MANY extra prac/trains for hp. I believe it actually puts your base hp at 50 to be more than a humans if you train all into hp except for those 15 pracs to save if your gonna go cabal. mya
Go with the 54. I also remenber rolling a 56 on them, but in the recent years i never managed it. CLerics and Battlemages can pull the 56.
Pali
Heh... Ilendriel had a 55 on his fifth roll...
Twinblades713
54 is my best roll on anything ever. I don't remember what char or class it was but I remember that being my max. Meh, maybe I'm easy to please. =D
Deykari
53 or over is fine. Spending three days to get a better roll is all well and good but in the grand scheme of things I'd sooner be playing the game than aiming for an extra 20 hp at pinn. While in principle I agree wholeheartedly... the fight I have of Ilendriel vs Bathai in the PK logs is a nice reminder that sometimes that 20 hp saves your butt. Anoneemus
Yeah, if you think about it in game terms, people spend 30-40 minutes training stuff that's worth much less than 20hp. It's definitely worth it to spend that extra time to get a max roll imo.
a-guitarist
Everyone has their play styles. Whatever works for you works for you. For me, I'm fine with the less than stellar rolls, so long as I can enjoy the game. I can still enjoy it if I'm getting spanked across the lands from solace to shandor, but that's just me. a-g
Aulian
Have a hard time doing that these days.
a-guitarist
I haven't been in the PKable ranges in quite some time. So, my currents are slowly learning about the hardships of running from solace to shandor. Great, now I've got to learn a whole new path while blind. a-g

Pali
Yeah, it's pretty hard to run from Solace to S'handor these days... partly because neither exists anymore...
a-guitarist
that being the particular hardship I was referring too. a-g

I've never particularly bothered by dying/the prospect of dying/losing equipment (I mean come on, I'm sooo used to it ), so it doesn't really mean that much to me - obviously, any advantage is a good one, but I can't justify spending time waiting for rolls and training some of the less critical skills/spells when I can be playing instead. Each to their own I suppose. Dey
