Goru
Ok so I just played my first ever adventurer thinking that when you get to rank 30 you choose your guild and continue from that rank (dident read help files) So unless your new to the game what is the point in being a adventurer? Dam that sucked waiting four days for my description to get approved rank to 30 then have to start all over.
Twinblades713
Training in peace, if you can't find ways to do that already. And... you have sweet items at first rank when you do start... sweet being titanium hehe. I dunno, never played an adventurer. I make things up. Goru
ahaha I know im stupid for it and I accept that, just wanted to see why other people used them. I thought I would try one out, just saying it sucks im stupid
Malchaeius
The intended purpose of adventurers is to help newer players explore the MUD with a decent skillset without having to worry about being player-killed. Once you get a feel for items, equipment, and other basics, the player can then choose a class and play that class from level 1. Therefore, you cannot ask what the point outside of the point is - that IS the point, get my point? Although some people that are not new use it to train certain skills that the character will remort with. In my opinion, that is not worth it. Goru
I agree! Ive seen alot of them running around and they seemed to know what they were doing, thought I would just try it. cheers for the info
inscribed
never played an adventurer myself, but i'd assume you could choose adventurer, use 30 levels of trains to max your stats, remort, and have that many extra trains to put into hp/mana/mvs.
Anoneemus
I think you also get extra practices that way, like if you get Dodge to 90% and remort, now you saved 2 (or however many) practices on Dodge. Maybe I'm full of it, because I've never played one either. Tempted to try it right now. One thing I do know: your quests don't reset, so if you like using quests to get some XP, make sure you remember you can only do them once! mya
You get negative trains is you use them to update your characters. At least i used to. You cannot also convert practices into trains, if i recall correctly. The benefit you get from being able to remort with skills mastered is ofset by the fact that you get a lower max roll at character creation. Anoneemus
I think adventurers should be able to learn anatomies, even if they can't use them for anything.
Twinblades713
And pillow fight tactics. Your pillow face-smash ***TICKLES*** a plasm beast! A plasm beast is in excellent condition.
corpsestomp
You get negative trains is you use them to update your characters. At least i used to. You only lose as many trains as you used as an adventurer. Say you roll up a human adventurer. You add your rolled points and... You have stats of 21, 20, 20, 20, 15. You are 5 trains from max. You get to level 10, putting all your trains into CON thereby maxing your CON. You decide you're done playing an adventurer, so you remort into a warrior. You now have -2 trains (You used 5 as an adventurer, and you get 3 at level 1. -5 + 3 = -2.) /explanation If I go adventurer, I usually pick up a pair of pets. Up until Emerald/Tombs 'o all k ' means really fast experience. Also, a great set of non-rare stuff.
Aulian
and an *** load of wasted time..
Guest emp_newb
I agree 100% with aulian. I see absolutely NO reason to waste 30 ranks. Those are the crappy ones too. No real pk action, no real eq to gun for. Those are the ones you grind out quickly. So I see no reason for a char to have 80 levels. Hell I delete sometimes if I have a 20k exp hole in those ranks. Malchaeius
FYI: You can use the guild command at any time to remort back to level 1. Also FYI: Adventurers gain experience faster than all other classes.
Imoutgoodbye
So, does an adventurer with the adventurer perk gain experience even faster?
Anoneemus
Double adventurer omgggg! Way to abuse the system.
Kyzarius
I think adventurers should be able to learn anatomies' date=' even if they can't use them for anything.[/quote'] anatomies are a core strength for two classes, allowing those classes to, in utter complete safty, complete their anatomies would be to....easy. Tom
You could only get them to about 60 with that. You can't fight players, and mobs only give 2x level. Either way anatomies are easy enough to train that monks/blms don't need the advantage it would give.
Aulian
Blms are already the most powerful class in the game, lets not make it too easy aye?
