Twinblades713
What's the deal with this influence crap? I have been asking and I don't know how much is allowed to be relinquished on the subject, if any at all. Like, when you take half of an area and it's claimed by some cabal far away because of some reason. And more often than not, this land is of a cabal that you are not at war with, so you can't progress... I know this doesn't happen all the time, but I don't know what causes it. What's the deal with that, why is it there, and what ways are there around it? It's kind of annoying, but I'm sure there is some practical purpose for it. killalou
No WM land for you! If you a WM i would tell the secret to bypass it...but for now its a cabal secret!
Mudder
It has to do with influence... Did you lose your standard? You lose influence that way. Did you take a standard? You gain influence that way. Same thing for killing an enemy/being killed by an enemy. It's not an exact science, as far as I know though. I'm not a huge fan of the cabal warfare system to be honest. Mali
I don't see how it adds to the game. It makes weak cabals unable to establish themselves because their land gets ganked by someone they may be allied with. Team A holds most of the lands. Team B takes an important area from Team C. Team C tries to reconquer the area from Team B, and wins. The area is given to team A. Any other lands team C reclaims are also given to team A. So, Team C can either make war with team A and lose more territory, or forget about conquering lands altogethor. There is a way around it as killalou suggests, but it is kind of silly in my opinion. Influence in this regard should be removed from game.
Twinblades713
If all that stuff is the case, then I agree full heartedly with Mali.
Kyzarius
you can get around it if you take the pivotal bastion in tandum... WM ownes 4/4 bastions, Savant takes 2 bastions making ownership a tie, and thus the third party gets a PUSH because of having more support and takes the area. The solution tactically, ie without immortal intervention, is to have two savant generals on take 1 of the 4, so now it is WM 3, Savant 1, then take the next two at the same time so you get the dominate numbe rof bastions and the push doesnt happen. I managed to succesfully do this once, and the other general was very proficient with armies as well..it took some planning as we had to walk away and offer leadership to one..then let one fight with only one army then catch them up..but in the end we killed both on the SAME army tic and won the zone. Unknown Brother
I love the cabal war system, it breaks up the capture the flag over, and over. Also gives some sort of a real war feel, although I think it should impact the game more as far as cabal war, maybe giving a bonus to the owning cabal when fighting there, and a debuff for cabals at war. I know if gives a mild bonus now, nothing THAT viable if I remember.
