English lad
http://www.forsakenlands.org/forum/showthread.php?t=13350 You know what..i was so impressed when i saw this thread appear in RP. I didn't ever interact with the players in question when it was going on...but I read the notes. At the time i thought ' How cool is that' . The imms even allowed a player to put aside an imm character for the sake of RP. I couldn't imagine anything cooler from a RP pov than that. I've got to say the RP post is such a let down..not due to any of the work from the player, or the Imms who helped out. Its a let down because - given the opportunity for a 1 one off, very special Imm created RP, all most of the players did was spam PK skills/spells. Guys you can spam kill captures, or PKs every day. This was a great chance to do more than just the numbers game, and all i can see is people playing it like a game of CounterStrike. ******** Sorry if this is a downer - as yes I guess it is a pretty negative string. But as i played around that time I always wondered what became of such a brilliant RP plot, with a drow shaman becoming a timelord, and infact banishing the lord of time himself. And i'm pretty damn disappointed to find out that the whole thing ended due to a no RP, PK situation.
Evangelion
What I love is the fact that Byrsypherus abused the contract-kill bug to kill him.
Questioner
Ok guys. Chill out a little. Examine the log and think on it. If you think you would have done anything different than what the people in the log did, then by all means do it now with current plots. Your criticism is based on hollow words if you don't set an example for others to follow. My 2 cents. P.S. I was glad to see how a newcomer to FL was able to immerse himself into a deep rp plot with the aid of an Imm. Kudos.
WagesofSin
As far as I know, it was Tezdals final death. I'm assuming he wanted to go out with a bang; he was meant to die so maybe attacking him was the correct course of action. He did try to destroy Rheydin didn't he? Also, it seemed the timestream started attacking first. I'm not surprised by this, everyone else was forced to defend themselves.
Montahg
The whole RP behind it was that Tezdal was hellbent on destroying reality as everyone knew it. He had gone insane and delusional with power. Why would someone in his situation sit and have a little chit chat over a cup of tea? If you were just strolling about Rheydin, and all of a sudden a drow shaman walks in and starts dishing out this insane damage because he controls the timestream, wouldn't you want to do anything you could to defend yourself, after you put on a clean pair of pants, that is? Think about it from the perspective of the characters themselves. I know for myself the entire time I was just amazed at all this scrolling by my screen, and really wasn't able to focus on all the fast paced action. I thought I did rather well with e/s/pmotes. You know, that was probably my favorite moment playing here, and it's a mix of sadness and annoyance that you write saying it was such a let-down. I know for a fact that Valganti and Malch put a lot of effort into making that RP work, and I'm sure other immortals helped out as well. I strongly believe that to say it was a letdown is an insult to the playerbase and to the immortals who put a lot of work into it. In all my years of mudding, I've never seen anything even remotely close to this, and I'm damn glad I came across FL so I could have times like these. WagesofSin
Overall, I think it was great and you played it really well Montahg. Though in retrospect, that scrolling of the damage was a bit too much and made it difficult to realize what is going on. I think that could have been reduced(and is my only qualm.) I am really impressed by this, though, it was really great to see that kind of Imm interaction.

English lad
Oh don't get me wrong - in general I think the Plot was Fantastic! Excellent work from the Imms involved and amazing from Montahg as a new player.
Guest Valganti
Well, congrats go to Malch for re-inducting Tezdal so he could take over the Tower. As well for titling. Other than that, it was just some improv, and knowing it was the fun of it. Players don't realize that we notice the NON EGO type of RP a lot more, and react to it in a much more positive fashion. I bet I had much more fun than the players involved in this plot, and all it took was a little push to Tezdal and he took off with it. Unless RP is organized it will always be improv, and I think that's what I enjoyed so much about it. Nothing ended up being staged. Thank you Tezdal. Guest Valganti
Oh, on a side note. I ordered Brysyperhus to do what he did, because he was the only one strong enough to do what needed to be done. He actually argued with me when I told him to want Tezdal and issue an exile. It all worked out when he finally understood Tezdal was controlling the power.
