killalou
Anyone else see this movie? I thought it was pretty good, although I was dissapointed that the asian sidekick was not in the movie. Also the end plot didnt seem like the Indiana Jones genre but then again it was produced by Lucus Films.
Bl3h
Oh yes.. I've seen this movie and I must say Steven Spielburg must be on crack. Especially with the part with the monkeys... I mean, Wtf?!
a-guitarist
I keep hearing about this movie from people who I didn't think would ever see it. And then from some who I know would have opening night. They've all said the same thing... Lucas blew it with all the CGI. Just like he killed star wars with going too much for special effects instead of story. I haven't seen it yet, so I can't say for sure. But the trailers I've seen for it have lended me to agree with the people I've talked to about it. But all the great scenes from the First three were not computer special effects driven and over the top. The guy with the sword doing all the fancy crap and Indy just draws and shoots him... The fight atop the Tank... The mine carts... All those... just wow. a-g

George Lucas created Indiana Jones.... and hes produced all the previous films. I havent seen the movie myself... and i prolly wont see it in theaters.. but thats only cuz im Po'. I dont think any of these 80s films shoulda been brought back (T3.. Rambo.. Rocky)... i mean whats next... back to the future? Hollywood... please stop ruining my fond childhood movies... __________________ Iconz - Yeah... thats right... Po'.... i cant afford the o-r. Imoutgoodbye
Saw it and LUUUUUUVVVVVEEEEDDDDD it! The monkeys bit was a bit much and the CGI isn't that bad. You have to expect some....Harrison Ford is 65. Overall, there was the grave digging, the fast paced action (did you know Indiana Jones was the first movie to spend an average time of 3.5 seconds per screen shot before switching to another shot where as most movies spend 5-8 seconds, with action movies falling towards 5?), and great one liners. This is Indiana Jones folks! Quick one liners, fast paced action, a map with a moving icon.....you get what you always got! With more depth, more history, McCarthism.....freakin' HANGAR 51!!!!! And for anyone who thinks aliens should not have been part of this, remember, the Nazi's researched into the occult....the Russians were more interested in the psychic field, specifically mind control, so "alien" technology was not far fetched. Pay close attention to everything....I was not disappointed.

a-guitarist
Can't forget the giant rolling rock! After said beer was ruined, I have taken the term, "Rolling Rock" out of my vocabulary. It was a great beer, now it tastes like glass and kneepit. a-g
Chayesh
I haven't seen it yet, though I intend to. I did have a pretty good laugh reading the reviews from the Cannes Festival premier...one guy said it was "an overblown special effects extravaganza". I was thinking, "No kidding, dumbass. It's Spielberg and Lucas making a summer blockbuster. Nothing released in the summer is anything but an overblown special effects extravaganza. What did you expect? Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2? Friggin hack."
Aulian
'The only thing I found unbelievable (well' date=' besides the ending) was the monkey bit. haha. It was like. oh. tarzan...[/quote'] Dude... I went to see it with "Bl3h" and another FL'er... Honestly... I was rolling on the ground just about, laughing my *** off at that part... All that kept popping into my head was the line from The Wizard of Oz - "Fly my pretties!" God that was funny.

KRins
hey Aulian...who the **** is that? I'm sorry, the door was open and I had to walk through it. I just got done watching the previous movies in order in succession on a TV marathon (I've easily seen 4 of them in the past month...the term is overdoing it television companies) and I'm all psyched to see it. I just don't want to watch it at the rinky dink theater near me or at the drive-in movie...unless I can patch things up with the devil lady. Is it worth the $9 ticket plus a 15 mile drive there and back?
Imoutgoodbye
Is it worth the $9 ticket plus a 15 mile drive there and back? You got something better to do? NO! Bregalad, myself, and Rensvert drove 24 miles, but we only paid $6 per ticket. IT ROCKS! Take someone with you, take someones with you....it's much better with others who enjoy Indy. You can just go nuts talking about it after it's over.
Mudder
the Nazi's researched into the occult....the Russians were more interested in the psychic field' date=' specifically mind control[/color'], so "alien" technology was not far fetched. Actually that is what the US "thought" the Russians were into. So, in a race to beat them we began testing psychological torture on our own people, unknowingly, and other various types of research. All without any form of consent of the people involved. Different universities around the world paying people for research studies, were actually unwittingly involved in this. Many people died, many people received severe mental trauma. All this was expected. Just a little side note. (Oh, this is NOT conspiracy theory stuff. All this was what I learned from doing scholarly research writing a paper for my Political Science class.)

Kyzarius
I think it was awesome, it settled right into the range of slightly out there b-movie ish style that is evident in all of the indiana jones movies. They stuck right with the typical escapades of indy, the same quib's and dry humor, with no bad language, very little blood, a great family movie. My kids loved it, I loved it, and cant wait to add the dvd to my collection
