Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide and Monster Manual are released as of last Saturday(I think). Anyone pick up a copy? I'm borrowing all three from someone right now, and like McDonald's; I'm loving it.

Oh, and for some of you oldies, there's actually of Rogue power called 'Meditation of the Blade'.

Good job WC(right?) you've infected another media with your sarcasm. Newb.

Didn't buy 3rd, not going to buy 4th.

Damn you, WOTC. I hate you.

It's kind of funny. My bachelor party is going to consist of some 2nd Edition D&D. I have a ninth level h-elf wizard (specialist: Diviner) that was my first character and my bachelor party request was a group and a DM for some 2nd Edition, end of D&D, one last huge fun run to 20. I'll try to get something scheduled in once a month for this, so, it'll be some good fun. :D

Well considering I own the 4th edition books and after looking through the PH and DMG (only very sparring) I have came up with a couple of deductions on 4th edition.

Wizards are now more like Gandalf the Grey

Fighters finally can do more than just attack things.

and thankfully Monks are no longer a base class (at least in this PH)

I love the added races, kinda strange gnome is no longer a starting race however.

and finally WHY THE HELL DONT THEY HAVE DRUIDS???

2nd edition is still where it's at. But even in 3rd+, there's so much in the Player's Handbook that people don't use. Like the ability to trip/sunder/disarm in combat. The books are more like guidelines anyway. DnD is about playing what appeals to you and your group. You don't HAVE to play 4th because it's the latest and greatest. Hell, if WotC puts that much funding into it, chances are they don't know what they were doing enough to get it right the first time.

TSR 4 lyf.

Ah such fond memories of our journey to under mountain. God that adventure sucked. Any adventure that takes us at least 4 or 5 sessions and we never even made it into under mountain' date=' just the freakin sewers.[/quote']

Roll a cleric with better than an eight intelligence. Maybe you could read the map. :D
