Bard Skill - Analyze

Hey,

I was wondering if any of the bard players out there could say whether or not this skill has a real functional use, beyond telling the bard about a vuln that everyone already knows about?

Does it, for example, give any bonus to the bard in combat? Maybe if the skill is mastered?

Any help would be appreciated.

It tells you some other important things. But as for bonuses in combat? I'm gonna lean towards the negative on that one.

Works on mobs, as well. So if you want to know something about a specific mob, have at it.

But, bards are pretty spiffy. I'd suggest rolling one and learning some stuff about them. They are not the crappy class that they used to be... not by a freaking long shot. (If I can pk with one, well... that should tell you something about the class...)

Well, I loved the old bards. I was just promoting the t ypical propaganda that I keep reading about them. Heh, my handle on AR was "Berzerker-Bard", due to them both being my favorite classes in all games.

Old Bards were hardcore. You just had to know what was up... all them tiny spiders killing things... was I mistaken when I recall it being you and another bard taking out winter with the spiders?
