Oog
I am wondering how sometimes people can get away with having some names like they do. I have been on, and around rank 30, I noticed another person arund that range with the name Minovin Breakyoneck . At first it made me kinda laugh, then I was like wow, we can actually have names like that? hhmmm, dont know, what are others opinions on names like this? Twinblades713
There's aLOT of names that get through. I think it's funny mostly. There's a part of me that wants to see what I can get away with, but those aren't the kind of names I enjoy playing. I make up my names on my own every time. Edit: The most recent one I thought was pretty funny, it took awhile for someone to make Rac Clinton change his last name. lol
Oog
oh yeah, I saw that one. It must have been dedication to Hilary losing
Twinblades713
Well, and just other little things for people. Like a drow's last name might be the name of some drow deity or something like that. I like to log on as some lowbie and google names alot of the time. It's fun and you'd really be surprised. Nekky
A while ago I remember a halfling thief named Odorf getting all the way to 50. At least their last name wasn't Baggins.
Dizz
That's ok. I once named a healer after a cactus. Bryn told me I better change it since it made him think of a spiny elf.
corpsestomp
Was your name Cactuar McSpinyelf? That would remind me of a spiny elf cactus.
-red-
I had a Sephilis once. That was changed quickly. I honestly had no idea what was wrong with the name until someone told me...

At least their last name wasn't Baggins. hehehe, I wasn't playing then. I thought the game was dumb with just words and no graphics. Anyways I know the person who played Odorf... well used to know the person, I don't keep in touch with him anymore.

Pieman
Does anyone else remember Pnusin Jermowaeth? I think that was one of the biggest "Look what I got away with"s in a long time. Also a lot of names that get through, such as Breakyoneck, are allowed as rp points for things. Now I doubt that the imms would allow it on a halfling or an elf, but I could easily see such working on an ogre/fire/minotaur etc.
-red-
I thought Benz Tat was interesting - I imagine the guy with a mercedes symbol scrawled on his forehead in permanent ink.

Implementor Anume Posted June 22, 2008 Implementor Report Share Posted June 22, 2008 We usually are a lot more lenient with surnames than with first names.
