Korropant is gone,

I deleted...was gone for six days and get demoted for it, geuss your not allowed to take breaks without getting sideswiped for it...then die and get looted..really deflates ones interest in the game. I want to thank the imm who decided that 6 days is to long to be gone before you lose an elder spot, glad it happened before I took my summer vacation.

I was coming on con dead anyways, time to move on...

Thanks for those who gave me a good time in combat and in rp.

Great, I just finish up my lengthy reply to your PM and find you've already deleted. :rolleyes:

1) When you are leaving for vacation, you notify your cabal imm. That has always been the policy, in every cabal, otherwise face the consequences. Its not our responsibility to guess what you might be doing.

2) You were gone for far longer than six days, and you have been playing another character instead. So don't start trying to add spin to the situation (I have the logs to prove it.)

3) I have been sent logs of you going entirely OOC as a qrace after a death. Normally that would mean denial - you weren't even punished. (Again, I have the logs to prove it.)

4) I told you that you could re-earn your position if you simply upped your game to the level that it was. Your gameplay up to this point was sort of the best and worst of both worlds: you were successful much of the time; however, when you died (or got mad for some other reason), you went borderline (or completely) OOC. It is not acceptable for anyone - let alone a qrace or cabal elder. I tried to hint at this in game and you didn't seem to pick it up - you need to work on keeping your composure. This post in itself (and the spin you tried to put on it) is further testament to that.

Best of luck on your next character. Hopefully you will learn something from the result, and apply it to that one.

Such a pity, Korropant was the closest I have ever come in FL to actually like a demon. Mainly cause I have yet to play a char in opposition to you. When I was in Savants with you; you were surely a team player. Even though you and I were of different align we shared a common goal and that worked for us. Best of luck on your next char.

Urghhh..no offence to either of you, but this is the sort of thing that really gets me down.

Goods and Evils aren't 'team players' they're good and evil. I always feels its almost borderline OOC when people work around their Align RP because it makes things easier. To a lesser degree the one that also gets my back up is the whole 'brotherhood of evil' sort of thing, where you see evils being pally with each other, and working together to make sure their align 'wins'. IMO you can't ever 'win' FL, and it shouldn't be a goal. Getting killed a lot, chucked out of your cabal, outcasted and hunted mercilessly by the entire PB can be winning if you have GREAT rp because of it.

Bleh - anyway totally off topic, sorry just woke up, this isn't a dig at anybody, just a miny rant.

As regards the character I had similar experiences to what big Z talks about..some of the very best RP, and very good PK, and also some of the really OOC stuff. I find it hard to deal with in a RP fashion when I get told things like "the way you fight isn't fun, you waste everybody's time" etc etc.. Yes we PK for fun, but our characters don't.

So I guess respect on the good stuff...massive respect on that, and a heads up on the areas to improve.

I totally disagree with this. Firstly, some of my best interactions as an evil (I hardly ever play goods) are with goods who I feel I can use for something. There's no need to stretch the RP, it's right there. Just because I'm evil doesn't mean I'm dedicated to eradicating all elfies, and just because you're good doesn't mean you have to be about eradicating evil (although this to a lesser extent). That's what Knight and Nexus are for. Secondly, they were both in the same cabal, something which I feel should take precedence over align in most situations. Your goals are determined by your character, not your align.

But sorry, this is major derailment. Korropant was a beast and will definitely be missed.

Well, Enlish lad, I was just trying to give props to another player's char. In fact we had several disputes on how things should be done, but we made it work. We were not buddy buddy, to be honest I thought his char was full of himself among being rude. However, we were able to function, to communicate to each other about what needed to be done. He was a team player cause he put forth his efforts to better the Tower, same as I.

Again, great char with Korropant do come back with something just as good or better.

yeah sorry if that came across harsh - its less directed to at you than at the sense I see in general where a lot of things are discarded for the sake of powerful characters/cabals.

Oh and Anoneemus - Cabal doesn't come forward over align, If even had an imm go OOC to tell me off for that in the passed, If i put my cabal over my align I would expect to get outcasted for it.

E-Lad, I find your comments about "brotherhood of evil" ironic , since if you read...as an example..the syndicate ideaology you see that it was formed based on a brotherhood of thieves.

One example was Lorfaine in Nexus, I formed a church ..had followers...all out to better an institution that existed only in my characters mind. The result was a loose Band of characters that worked towards a common goal, it irked anume I know for sure but it was also founded on good RP. Hell one of the BEST rp moments I had with him was being wanted by a tribby, then standing in emerald challenging the tribunals to come get me and having three other people rise up and strike at them becoming wanted and then outlaws for it.

Align isnt the be all end all in FL its a guidline...evils dont HAVE to hate each other, thats a very one dimensional ideal, same with goods not HAVING to be zealots. Now, go totally against the guide and you get outcasted, but in truth much can be said for those who manage to find legitimate RP motivation to alter the cooklie cutter good vs evil existence.

In retrospect I know I got pissed to hell off with Korropant near the end (last month of his life) in truth I probably should of worked harder to retain my RP persona and not regress into pissing and moaning when I would get slain.

Personally there is none to blame but myself, though I feel I had a great run with the character, my 10th cabal in a row and second elder in the last 6 months.

So my take away from him is again, more eq knowledge, more pkill finesse...chasing got much better this time around than the last, and in the end more patience, for that seems to be the biggest thing that this game gives to its players.

My next, well, I have somehting in mind. I intend to make, if neccesary, a painful effort to hold my tongue when people piss me off ooc'ly and continue to try and develop origional and fun RP ideas for myself and those who interact with me. :cool:

Ah Korropant.

Korropant and Dumela had some epic fights. A pitty you dont like banter though, cause I love giving people **** then having my arse handed to me, so much more satisfying when you die and know you just stuck your foot and half your leg down your throat.

Wish I could of got that revenge I wanted after fighting you without sanc and flight and you attritioned me to death (was in the river in val, you kept vamp touching me and I couldn't get enough reaims in from the trips.. Plus I was outdamaging you and you killed me from 450hp when you were in aweful..).. Was one of the MOST BRILLIANT things I have ever seen done on this mud in all honesty. (pk wise.)

Think of it like the nature channel - you don't see the piranha's eating each other....
