Montahg
I remember fighting some shaman as Drayson and having to leave abruptly so I hid on the Eridani and decided to just let him disapear into the void. Too bad I had a high level malform on me and I was decently decked. Guess he found me and killed me and when I logged back in hours/days later' date=' I can't remember. I was completely naked and lost my malform.[/quote'] That might have been me with Tezdal. At that point, I was still new to the mud, and I had absolutely no idea why you weren't fighting back - I was just overjoyed that I was actually winning a fight, especially against you. I don't think I looted anything, though. Later on, a few minutes I think, an imm that was wizi asked me something to the effect of why I killed you/did Drayson attack me first. I said that you had killed me probably 5 times on my path to 50! Looking back on it, I feel bad, but at the same time, Tezdal himself hated you because you always utterly dominated him. To this day, I still get the shakes *extremely* bad. Since I started playing again a little over a month ago, I've been trying to get back in the swing of pk. When I finally hit 50 and got into my first "real" pk, my left hand literally became useless - and I couldn't help it! I'd take a deep breath, try and calm down, try and relax...nothing would stop it from shaking. I eventually had to just log off and take a break. Montahg
The reason that was changed is to avoid OOC use of the quit command to regain your pets. You really think the IMMs will smile on you quitting to get rid of a pet that you misplaced? How about a timer? If you're away from your pet for like, say 24 hours, the pet begins to forget about you/finds a new master/whatever, and you lose the pet.
Imoutgoodbye
Bah....the shakes go away eventually. So does the mind freezes. I usually forget half my useful skills/spells when I'm in a PK situation. I keep thinking, "Oh, god, I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die!" As for quitting, we'd all be in XP holes from accidentally smacking that roving high level mob if we didn't quit and log back in when hunting sometimes. Can't tell me there's no good time to quit. I've been here for eight years, and I still get them occasionally.

Evangelion
What's really scary is the fact that (assuming that both FL and I are still here) when I turn twenty-two, I will officially have spent half of my life playing this MUD.
