You CAN put plastic things in a dishwasher that relies on an exposed heating element! They just have to go on the top shelf! Yay me! I love dish washers now! KRins Posted July 7, 2008 Report Share Posted July 7, 2008 I love my dish washer. I don't even think I use my cabinets anymore. Get a dish from the dish washer, use it, put it in the sink. Repeat till empty, empty sink into dish washer..it's a beautiful thing. Some dishes get rewashed sometimes, but there is no such thing as too clean.
